Audiobus

I don't understand here. I bought Audiobus to use when my recording software of choice (Beatmaker 2) climbs on board. Hopefully that will be soon. If you haven't got enough proof to justify a $10 spend at the App Store from all the videos and testimony, then don't buy it yet.
What's next? Audioshare should come with files? Virtual Midi should come with instruments and controllers?

If you don't already know what Audiobus can do for you, then you don't need it. It has nothing to do with a free recorder included or not. Is the App description not enough? Do you really need a one or two tracks free recorder to understand it?
Would they give a free recorder with each Audiobus purchase, they'll be people complaining that there is no free trial version...
I liked the original idea of Audiobus having an intern recorder, but now that I am using it I prefer it the way it is, simple, doing just one thing. There are such greats DAWs out there, we don't need a wannabe feature in this brilliant app!
My 0.02€.

The App Store has been both a blessing and a curse, in terms of pricing. At first, it was amazing, because we could get amazing apps for not a lot of money. Now, with prices still low for what the applications offer ($50 for a multitrack DAW that also has a bunch of effects, exporting, etc? AWESOME!) people not only expect cheap apps, they're asking for more, for less.J.C wrote:+1

Maybe it's the economy, but peoples' perceived value has dropped through the floor, and they just don't appreciate what they're getting anymore.
I guess I'm old fashioned. I remember paying hundreds of dollars for software, and being happy about it.

this thread is way too hostile, I wait until BM2 and Animoog is implemented before getting Audiobus.

Animoog has been supported for a week or so already...monsterism wrote:this thread is way too hostile, I wait until BM2 and Animoog is implemented before getting Audiobus.

You said it! Gonna be very cool. Good to see the devs integrating so quickly too. Intua is working on it. I'm just imagining Sunrizer into filtatron, then recording it in BM 2 someday soon. Or Samplr into BM 2 and doing some mangled audio on the pads. Opens up some easier workflow opportunity with much wider options for everyone using it.monsterism wrote:cool, can't wait til BM2.

Developers are human beings. We need to pay for food, rent etc. just like everybody else. To be able to afford that, we need to pay money, just like everybody else.
If you want great software, developers need to be in a position where they can afford to spend time making it. Paying for it directly is the simplest way to make sure of that.
Thanks to everyone who has bought Audiobus or has mentioned it favourably to people who did and thus enables us to work on it!

Yup, very overdefensive attitudes. The past page is a nice study in making a mess out of nothing, while people applying common sense (like you) could see there wasn't even much of an argument.monsterism wrote:this thread is way too hostile.
Classic kvr, lol.
I'm a fanboy of a million things. This is not an insult, to me. Be a fanboy all you want!Crabshack wrote:nasenmann wrote: fanboisright, the others are"passive agressive"... talk to my hand,i'm out.nasenmann wrote: Fanbois
The passive aggressive part is what's problematic.
Ok, enough of that. Got a question...audiobus + retronyms? Anything in the works?
Impc support would rock.
Tabletop...input support could probably get complicated, but output i'd care way more about. The tabletop sequencer just isnt that great.
Samplr adding audiobus support? They better. It'll make them rich.
Samplr + any DAW is enough for awesome music.

As an aside, I think the word you are looking for is "fan", which has the connotation of "enthusiast".nasenmann wrote: I'm a fanboy of a million things. This is not an insult, to me. Be a fanboy all you want!

"Fanboy" is a term of deprecation, implying a person is overly defensive and incapable of objective reasoning about a particular subject.
(Conversely, if you do believe that certain participants in this thread are "fanboys", then you should not be surprised at any hostility you receive, as this is the standard reaction of a "fanboy" when their area of interest is placed under negative scrutiny.)

And now it's official!monsterism wrote:OMG Samplr as well?, drool.
It was just announced yesterday from Samplr's twitter feed--Audiobus is on the way!
Quote: @cluttermusic audiobus is coming

Also, Bismark about the BS-16i soundfont player, and it is getting it too. (I just got the response in the early AM, and I don't think this news has hit either.
Two great apps "Gettin' on the bus!"
