I spent only a very small time making my own presets. I am not that good with programming reverbs though. But I've noticed lately that only rarely do presets suit my music style and that what I use reverbs for is different from what most people use them for (vocals, guitars, small ambient spaces)Lotuzia wrote:Neutral while remaining warm and beautiful, but you can tweak them to get different colours Sami. Did you try all the "extended" controls on the tabbed areas ? You can make them sound very dark or very shiny if you want, and on pad sounds, keys or leads, you can achieve really spectacular results. I just made a short demo for a friend who is doing a lot of soundtracks for TV, with this kind of electronic cinematic stuff, and after just 5 mn he was already ready to push the red button to get them.
Also they wont add any clarity, stereo, phase, weird artifacts problems like some other units I've demoed.
To me the important thing is that you can use all presets with confidence while working fast BUT, there are also a lot of extra parameters for those who want, or have the time, or will, to go beyond that. ( and well just with the numerous included presets you can already do a lot with very minimal efforts )
| LinksYes, so you have to bump your monitoring to mono once in a while to check. The wide/narrow presets use that, but often do a tiny tweak of the early stuff as well. BTW, the width only applies to the tail. The early reflections are unaffected. This means that matrixed surround decode may put the early stuff more to the front speakers and the tail more to the surrounds, but you really have to monitor for compatiblity.4damind wrote: the "width" parameter, is this more a M/S stereo width thingy of the reverb
Thanks. Those have more to do with listener position.I like this "rear" and "front" presets.
Yep, for M/S stuff it needs always a bit checking for mono compatibility but it's nice that you implemented such optionMichael Carnes wrote:Yes, so you have to bump your monitoring to mono once in a while to check.4damind wrote: the "width" parameter, is this more a M/S stereo width thingy of the reverb

So we can gush over the sound of a product but not complain about its copy protection? Pages and pages of posts saying exactly the same thing about how wonderful a product is but let's not mention any downsides like having to buy an extra piece of copy protection to use it. there's absolutely no justification in the same people, bringing up the same dongle gripe, in every dongle-protected product announcement thread that occurs.
my personal opinion is that a topic this universal should be contained in one thread that exists specifically for it to be discussed. it's one thing to register your interest in the product, but for the dongle, it's another to willfully derail the thread. time after time. Somehow, when a plugin only exists on a single platform, like Windows for example, people manage to express their interest for an OSX version without turning the thread into {yet another} "MAC vs PC" thread. IMO the same restraint, & moderation, needs to be shown for the aged dongle 'debate'
if you must - at least do your petitioning on a freshly created thread for that purpose, and not the main product thread - which should be a useful reference.
imo.
I buy all my software, I don't use warez, its existence has never once made me want to use it. Billions of people still buy software. Software Games are the leading media profit maker in the UK. The film and audio multinationals made billions of profits that increase year on year. Crisis? What crisis?AudioGuy720 wrote:And I'd also venture to say that there are even less people who work on the honor system. Even if they have the money for it.billcarroll wrote:I think it's possible people pirating music making software might outnumber the people who refuse to buy software that is dongled. I wonder what the numbers are.
It sickens me to see studios and musicians that are making a lot of money using pirated software. Or at least I assume they're making a lot if they can sell out 5,000 seat clubs and are working with major label artists. They got caught red handed on YouTube videos...I wish I still had the links. It also sickens me that within the first 3 search result pages AND on the pop-up search term you have references to cracked software on the #1 search engine in the world, Google.
Now you have people talking about 3D printers and what type of intellectual property theft will come from such devices. "File sharing" will look like child's play when people are "printing out" cars and such. If those things become a reality...oh boy.
there are no double standards. you either have comprehension problems or you are intentionally misrepresenting what I said to justify your "double standards" appeal. or both. probably both.munchkin wrote:So we can gush over the sound of a product but not complain about its copy protection? Questioning my comprehension skills doesn't rescue your hypocritical post I'm afraid. But don't let that stop you hurling abuse and highlighting text in different colours because you can't come up with a stronger argument for side lining some opinions about a plugin and not others.ChiTown24 wrote:there are no double standards. you either have comprehension problems or you are intentionally misrepresenting what I said to justify your "double standards" appeal. or both. probably both.munchkin wrote:So we can gush over the sound of a product but not complain about its copy protection? rather than just waste time repeating what I said, in even more specific terms, just to spoon feed your ego.. I'll just use larger font and a nice bright primary colour to highlight the original text and maybe, just maybe, you'll "get" exactly what it is I was saying in the quote you regretfully decided to reply to. btw you're probably itching to know ... imo OSX > PC.
