i have only one hand. it' easier for me to write without capital letters.re_mute wrote:I'm sure Vengeance can rest easy tonight knowing that someone incapable of using capital letters has corrected their spelling.murnau wrote:i never write with capital letters here and theres no exception.
i dont understand anyway why thats a problem suddenly when even the whole thread here is named "phalanx - vengeance-sampler" by the OP.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

pretty fair price imo considering it could have taken about 2yrs (at a guess)and team of people to test and program phalanx (people gotta eat and all that). just watched the video on youtube. looks and sounds great. well done msvs and all involved. i'll make this one my next months purchase.

i couldn't compare the 2 theo but i reckon Nexus and Phalanx could compliment each other. depends on taste, needs and affordability but for me after watching the video (i'm sure there's more) i will be supporting by purchasing Phalanx at the earliest opportunity.
i'd like to hear how others are getting on with Phalanx though. the gui looks great indeed
again well done Vengeance.

I just bought Phalanx and have problems to import the sample content.
As described, I have the "Basic.delivery" and "Premium.delivery" files on my desktop, when I click on "Desktop" I get always the error message "Some error occured importing files! (err-code: unknown error)". When I try to import the libraries via "Import" same error message. I updated Phalanx to 1.0.1 same error message. I tried it with Logic Pro newest version and Ableton Live newest version, same error message.
New product - can't use it due to unknown import error, very annoying!
Any ideas?

To fix the OSX problem with importing the samples:
Create the folder "VPS Phalanx" in /Macintosh HD/Lbrary/Application Support/Vengeance/
Then try again. Should do the trick

I like how you can load Metrum as a sample pad in Phalanx, then once you have your kick you can freeze the kick, and then still use Phalanx effects on it.
Apparently other Vengeance plugins load into Phalanx as well. Pretty cool.

I would love to read feedback on the expansions. Somewhere i read that dubstep is only 29 mb which was unexpected.

So far I'm finding the sample content excellent, lots of choice and the samples sound terrific. I'm really surprised by how much varied content there is in the premium version. Even FX, noise loops, Orchestral Drumshots. There is a lot of useful and varied content.TheoM wrote:Would love to hear about the overall sample content once the early adopters have had a good play through it
For anyone making electronic music, you could use the samples in Phalanx to make tracks for quite some time without any other samples. Pretty much anything you might need is in there.
One thing to note, it appears the sample content is 44.1 KHz and 16 bit, although I'd expect it to be 24 bit these days.
Do you have any specific questions I could answer?
On another note, I'm having an issue freezing Metrum when using a pad in Metrum mode. Kick sound is altered dramatically. Could be something I'm doing. Already emailed support.

That worked, thanks!benitom25 wrote:To fix the OSX problem with importing the samples:

Next problem:
How can I "add" my Metrum, it's greyed out and says "(Missing AddIn)"? Same with my VPS MB Sidechain.
VPS philta XL shows out correctly.

I had the same issue. Download and install the latest version of the plugins and they should show up. I know you need Multiband Sidechain version 2.6.5 for it to show up.flonky wrote:That worked, thanks!benitom25 wrote:To fix the OSX problem with importing the samples:

You're lucky because the phalanx was a Greek military formation.kbaccki wrote:As a descendant of multiple cultures conquered by the Roman Empire, I am legitimately offended by the name of this new product.
