I get mdworker "file-read-data" errors about a lot of plugins when I turn AUs on.
Melodyne 4 AU seems to be working fine though.
Melodyne VST not showing up in Live surprised me at first too. It's because the Mac VST is still only 32-bit, while the AU and VST3 are 64-bit.

I haven't tried the latest version, but I was still getting the console errors with 4.0.2 and apparently this has been going on since v2.

I can't perceive any difference but I'm not using it for sound design and primarily use the pitch tool for stacking harmonics. There was a problem in the initial release whereby the algorithm would be substantially out if the playhead was started in a silent part of the track but this has apparently been fixed in a recent update.

Worth reading through the whole of the GS thread before making a decision.

From my perspective it works better than the original and the new additions allowing the manipulation of harmonics and formants is something I'm happy.
If you are only using it for fixing dodgy vocals you might be better off with something else.

This makes sense.

Is anyone experiencing a bug in Cubase 8.5.15 where audio in Melodyne that has been snapped to a new scale reverts to the original scale when the project is reopened? (Although the notes do stay where they were snapped to thankfully)

Not a major issue.

Re-synthesizing a field recording of Manga girls gathering on a bridge I made in Tokyo some years ago with Melodyne Studio 4, adding some audio effects on the fly (B2 reverb/Melda MXXX). I first de-noised the original file a bit in RX4 Advanced, getting rid of some of the traffic and background noises.

Live on video experiment - processing a simple acoustic guitar sequence (played with a Falcon patch from Ambient Strings) with Melodyne Studio 4, tweaking all sorts of parameters on the fly, transposing/stretching notes here and there...
