I kind of agree. Basically it's a big giant "look at me" promotion. If they want appreciation for just giving away something insignificant then they should just give it away. If you make a big deal about it, it best live up to the hype.

Somebody is going to be disappointed, I guarantee it!

Yes absolutely guaranteed. Even if it's a full version of one of their synths someone who already owns it will be pissed......

I have a feeling the entertainment in this thread, pre and post zero hour will be greater than the entertainment from the actual gift.

Thinking of the Arturia catalog it won't be something I need, it may be something I want and it might be something I want bad enough to install their Service Center on my studio computer....or it's a pair of socks.
