Anyone jumped ship / switched DAW this year?

Studio One could be worth a look. I've found that, IMHO, it's set up similarly to Logic X, but with some workflow tweaks that make it a bit more user-friendly.

Thanks for the suggestion, I have checked the first version of Studio One, but more out of curiosity, since I wasn't thinking about switching platforms then. I'll take another look at the current version.

Wow! Great discount! I would buy it if I didn't have 3 linear DAWs doing almost the same job (S1, Cubase and Reaper!) It can be a great mixing/mastering environment although I don't like both processes

That is a great price. I would buy it at that price except I bought fl and have run out of money (and have reaper as my linear daw) but samplitude impressed me when I was testing it, and the whole suite is pretty great

Actually I had forgotten some of that. Reaper seldom crashes or hangs, whereas I did have a few issues with samplitude

You can't win with this stuff. Even if the feature set is awesome (which it looks to be great) very little is stable.

Yeah, I should use reaper for my "linear" vst stuff. But I'm getting close with FL, a few more months and I'll have it nailed (er, until 13 comes out)

I switched from using a combination of Protools and FL Studio to a combination of Studio One Professional with FL Studio and Maschine in 2016. I now have a faster way of accessing samples and setting up timing, along with the integration of Studio One pulling everything together for composition and mastering.
