I‘ll stay with Byome. There‘s too little additional benefit in TRIAD for me.

Ya'll skip and that's cool but Triad tops Byome by long shot.

It looks as though buying byome for $99 then upgrading to triad for $49 is the same price as buying triad outright so you get both for the same price but PLEASE PLEASE check with support or something first. I'd hate if it turned out that you needed to previously own byome (as in before triad was released) to get the $49 on triad and you ended up paying more.Local Man wrote: Sun Jun 09, 2019 2:06 pm I have a question for those of you that are power users Byome and have now had a little time with Triad.
If I don't have either, should I just get Triad now?
Is there any reason to get Byome instead of Triad at this point?
Thanks.

Or buying Byome second-hand for less than that (from one of the many Byome owners who no longer need it after getting Triad), then "upgrading" to Triad?... (Not really an upgrade since they apparently count as separate products.)graspee wrote: Sun Jun 09, 2019 5:32 pmIt looks as though buying byome for $99 then upgrading to triad for $49 is the same price as buying triad outright so you get both for the same price but PLEASE PLEASE check with support or something first. So with the $20 transfer fee, Byome owner could buy Triad for $49, then sell Byome for $70 (or anything reasonably below the $99 sales price) to recoup cost? Bit of a hassle though, and no guarantee of actually being able to sell....
[Edit: I see Byome has been selling on the buy/sell forum for $39 to $60 including transfer fee.]

It's generous of them to let you sell Byome despite the fact that you got to get Triad for only $49 because you owned it, but then again this has crashed the prices so much that someone who just bought Byome at the start for full price and now wants to maybe sell all their electronic music software is really out of luck as it has been massively devalued.
edit: just realised that basically a million people could pass around the same copy of BYOME and they would all get Triad for transfer fee + $49.

Where does it say this? I can’t find that info.Greenstorm33 wrote: Sun Jun 09, 2019 4:08 pmIn addition to what thecontrolcentre said the $49 upgrade specifically says you cannot use other vouchers with it.Tappistry wrote: Sun Jun 09, 2019 4:01 pm So have PA monthly vouchers gone away completely? Or just for this month?
I’d like to redeem it to get the upgrade for less than $49.

Based on the emails they've sent out I think this is a mistake and the intended prices are $149 for everyone and $49 for BYOME owners. It's probably not getting corrected because it's the weekend. Best to grab it while you can if you want it.yehboy1 wrote: Sun Jun 09, 2019 5:58 pm Triad is $49 for everyone right now, not just BYOME owners. Not sure why people don't understand this. All you have to do is log into your PA account to see the $49 price.

I meant the bit about not being able to use another voucher. So, I added this yesterday to my cart and it didn’t say anything. Just added it again today to check it and it says it can’t be discounted any further with a voucher. Obviously they have realised that many people were thinking of waiting until next months voucher to get it for free.

Has anyone confirmed that that is the intended meaning? It's usually that dynamic discounts won't apply if you're using a voucher ("due to a voucher", due to the fact you're using a voucher, dynamic discount % off will not discount this further).Greenstorm33 wrote: Sun Jun 09, 2019 6:06 pmCapture.JPGRickskii wrote: Sun Jun 09, 2019 6:02 pmWhere does it say this? It specifically says that it does increase your dynamic discount, but that further vouchers don't apply (i.e. the opposite of the usual text). It threw me off when I first read it because I thought it said what you're thinking as well, but it does seem pretty clear.

Can we select a whole chain of modules (by holding [ctrl], for instance), so we can copy/paste them into other processing chains/bands ?

They literally just added a 3 band splitter to BYOME which still isn't even bug fixed and no they are trying to sell it to me as a new product! Given how long we have waited for bug fixes this should have been a free point update, not a new product.
And it seems anyone can buy Triad for 49 bucks, so BYOME now has almost no value on the second hand market....
I think I will just avoid this company in future.
