They are the same.

Right now if you save a preset with SynthMaster 2 iOS and sync your presets with desktop, desktop synth doesn't see those presets because they're saved with a higher version of the engine. This issue will be resolved when we release the next update for SynthMaster 2.9.9, maybe we should call it 2.9.10

After registering my Synthmaster 2 serial in the iPad app, how do I get the factory presets and my purchased sound sets to sync? I can see no way to do this. The online presets downloaded fine. I've tried force closing and relaunching, and tried tapping Register again. No result. I still don't see the additional banks in Local or Online presets.

Also, when changing the skin, nothing changes unless I force close and relaunch. There should be a more elegant way to do this in an iOS app.

EDIT: I found your video where this topic is covered. I love your stuff, but I think this needs some work. That menu that displays when tapping the preset name is not remotely intuitive for an iOS app.

Also, although my expansion packs all downloaded, the expanded Factory Presets at first did not. First I did "Download Desktop Expansions" and that worked, but not for the factory presets. When I first chose "Download Bonus Presets" it said I had already downloaded them, but I told it to download them anyway. No change. Then I ran "Download Desktop Expansions" again, and finally all the factory presets showed up. Also, choosing either option, after the download finished, it reported downloading X of Y banks, where X < Y each time. So there's something flaky going on there.

Further, there seem to be a disconnect between the settings under the settings button, and the same settings when tapping the preset name to get that pop-up menu. When changing the skin in settings, nothing happens. When using the "hidden" menu, the skin changes right away.

IMO, everything under that preset-name pop-up menu needs to be moved to somewhere more obvious. It makes no sense to have settings there that don't take effect until a restart whereas the same settings in the pop-up menu work. I think everything having to do with syncing presets needs to be obviously accessible in the Preset browser. You are going to have a lot of people with the same problem.

Hi guys, I finally managed to build Apple Silicon compatible version of SynthMaster 2.9. Here's the first build. The binaries are universal so they include both intel 64bit and arm 64 bit code:

After SynthMaster 3 desktop release we will port it to iOS as well easily with this framework and maybe we can port the framework to Android as well, it was the least priority task in our list but could be worthy to have Android support on our hands as well.

Seeing an Android version would be nice. The market it’s still pretty small compared to iOS but with Cubasis on their plus a few other good music apps it should grow over time.

Unfortunately we lost our belief on Android platform. Unless someone comes up with a plugin format like AUv3 / VST, I don't see a chance for Android.

To true. Cubasis on Android offers no Vst or AU plug-in format because it can’t be achieved.
Other than few limited instruments and fx included, you’re stuck.
I’m afraid you have chosen wrong platform for music production.

I use an iPad Pro for music production which is great. Would just be nice if Android got it together and had a plugin format so that was an option as well.
