Could it be that Softube's comps feature more lookahead allowing them to clamp down on sharp peaks more quickly?

im talking about ear fatigue from overcompression, not ear fatigue from sharp peaks. All compressors can reduce peaks and reduce the spiky fatiguing feeling that transient sounds can have where it feels like someone is clapping next to your ear, but overcompressed sounds are fatiguing in a different way, i'd say overcompressed sounds make my ears feel a bit blocked/muffled. I don't get that feeling much with softube compressors.
