but to be so proud of the fact they lack vision, this surprised me...
Word.

By the way: what's really funny is the irony that the adamant presence of these irritating nay-sayers is the best indication that this is going to be huge. They're never nearly as obsessed with telling everyone else that there is zero need for it altogether in threads about more esoteric/less revolutionary/less far-reaching stuff.
They're only willing to get lured out from under their rock in order to spread some good ol' hate when there's the prospect of some real proper flames to feed.

CLAP is crap
Saying something is crap is not an argument. Can you elaborate why you think it is crap?
I don't think we will get a very interesting answer... Confess, you are just trying to find someone to make fun of :hihi:

I see it a bit differently. I think most of the "nay-sayers" are in fact insecure people trying to be comforted.
Think of it from a logical perspective.
You are browsing KVR which has a ton of different posts.
If you are sure about yourself, if you see a technology you are not interested in, you just don't click.
IF you are not sure and insecure, you see a technology you are not interested in, you start to panic, you feel you are missing out, you need to be explained what is the use of this technology but you are ashamed to do... So you click on the most and claim that the techno is bullshit. And then you franticly read the answers.

I think it's more a boomer sentiment. You see a new technology, you click the link and read up on it, then when realizing you will never use it, declare it bullshit! :x Promptly you apply your use case scenario to everyone because of course the way you work is The one and only True Way™ to make music.

You see this all the time on forums, I call them unintentional trolls, because they truly aren't setting out to be contrary Karens, they're just old, set in their ways and pig headed.

Yeah could be too...

Remind me of the blackberry CEO about the touch keyboards... Or when I started working, early 2000, the CEO of Alcatel, then world leader in Optic Fibre saying : " naahhh I don't believe in this internet shit, we should stop this activity immediately"...

Visionaries. lol...

Now the real good question for me is... Should I buy Studio one ???

LOL!

When all the other Daws jump on board you should buy them all, then you can tell everyone you are in the "import - export" business :hihi:

Isn't that what you say when you smuggle guns, hookers and blow?
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better? :(

Could you have picked any greater walled gardens than those 3? :)

Cubase <> Logic I would really love, I just can't see it happening.... Unless, of course, we kidnap Hans Zimmer, dress him up in a Presonus top and get him on facetime to his Steinberg chums.. "Don't make me do this, guys!"
yes i could also include ProTools :hihi:

Please. This thread died 10 pages ago. All these morons getring excited for such a stupid feature that's nowhere near a game changer. A *real* game changer would be a DAW that can change it's theme appearance every few minutes.Think how much fun that would be!
Ask not what your DAW can do for you, but what you can do with your DAW

Post

There are two points regarding the DAWProject format:
1. Bitwig and Presonus should implement this format in all their versions not only the Pro or full versions if they really want it to be useful. Some might just buy the Producer version of Bitwig and the Artist version of S1 (the latter lacks export/import this format, I don't know about Bitwig Producer or Essential).

2. Other DAWs might not want to implement this format because they don't want you to move to another DAW! You might like the 'other' DAW and completely ditch theirs.

There is another point also! If you have mainly your 3rd party plugins, do you care a lot about moving to another DAW? For example, I have 3rd party plugins for mixing and mastering that more than enough in Bitwig, do I need to move to S1 just for mixing and mastering? The workflow advantage might be not so convincing to move to another DAW.

Anyway, still there is a very good usage for this format and that I don't need to worry which DAW I start with. It is also make it less hassle to share unfinished projects with others.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.
