Cool. Thank youTHE INTRANCER wrote: Wed Dec 04, 2024 12:31 am You can download my custom skins for Rapid here for free.
It's a fun effect which brings it to life for sure, but you have the plane jane option too. This track is just one instance of Rapid only.

Have just got the same endless loop of activation messages while trying to activate in Cubase 14 on the fresh install of Sonoma 14.7.2.parawave wrote: Mon Nov 25, 2024 4:21 pmIt was indeed a bug. Fixed in Version 1.8.10 for windows.rlared wrote: Mon Nov 25, 2024 1:40 pm Anyone else getting a crash on a clean installation of 1.8.9 in FL Studio 24? When activating, after importing the license file, it just does an endless loop of popups saying the activation was successful? Then crashes FL Studio? After re-opening FL Studio, the sound doesn't play in Rapid. 1.8.8 does not have this problem.

Either way, PARAWAVE are almost dead. They push through a quick update each year, just to hook in some new naive customers!!!Iva wrote: Mon Jan 27, 2025 6:43 am Wrote to support about this bug two times, no answer for more than a weekWish PARAWAVE office is ok and not burned in LA flames

as written before maybe they really work on something and are just silent and not well in communicating with customers or they really do some small signs just to boost BF sales and ride this dead horse...

Or it could simply be that the developer can't make a full time living on RAPID. Maybe it didn't take off as intended, there are many competitors out there. With a full time job, and maybe a family, the time for developing is limited. The 24 hour day is constant, and you would need around 6-8 hours of sleep per day as well. Just speculating now, but it's fully feasible.
Not a 1:1 comparison (since it's a much older synth), but how many updates have Sylenth1 had in the last few years? Still considered to be a great synth.
Then I agree the communication from the developer could be much better. RAPID is a great synth, and it deserves to be developed further. I really hope that if they 100% decided to discontinue the development, they at least unlock the activations so it will just work with a serial number.

yep as long as it works im fine even if they discontinue it, i just dont want to be dependant on their online servers.starflakeprj wrote: Mon Jan 27, 2025 12:47 pm Or it could simply be that the developer can't make a full time living on RAPID. If they simply kept on releasing new soundsets, they could increase incomes and make the future better for them and us. I can’t imagine for a second that they left Rapid where it was for another reason than mediocre incomes.
They said once that new soundsets was easier said than done. No third-part, really ?
That’s sad.
I’m also worried about the online activation. I really, really love this synth.

Same here. This is probably the one thing iLok has going for it... presumably if a company selling a product goes under, if you've got the installers, the iLok should keep working.DJErmac wrote: Mon Jan 27, 2025 9:28 pm I’m also worried about the online activation. I really, really love this synth.

Well technically it's jam or conserve, not jelly/Jell-o.DashOfLime wrote: Thu Nov 28, 2024 1:39 amOK I'll bite...why is it disgusting? And exactly what "jelly" are you talking about as it's not like there is one flavor?starflakeprj wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 11:29 pm The mere fact that peanut butter and jelly is a thing is disgusting, I don't know what's going on with you "United Staters"![]()

The real winner here, on toast, is butter, peanut butter, and a small amount Seville marmalade.
Or course the peanut butter must have no sugar and be hi oliac peanuts.

I reached out to them a couple times about releasing banks for them. They expressed interest and were open. Perhaps if more people request such things it might happen. I too love rapid and making banks for it. Mediocre sales is highly possible judging from my own experience.DJErmac wrote: Mon Jan 27, 2025 9:28 pm If they simply kept on releasing new soundsets, they could increase incomes and make the future better for them and us. If they implemented a system for 3rd party banks on there site and collected a cut of 40 or even 60%, it'd help sound designers, them, and most importantly, possibly add future life to rapid!

There are other nut butters as well.
(For taste preferences or those with peanut sensitivities/allergies.)
Almond is everywhere, although not as common as peanut. Cashew can be found as well. I regularly make my own pecan butter and have recently been contemplating blanched almond or pistacho versions. I've also had the thought of other citrus marmalades (i.e. lemon/lime) or something saffron based to complement them. As far as the synth analogies go, I always want to know about their "manna & ghee" as much as their "bread & butter" sounds. Don't we often use the same adjectives to describe them. e.g. Smooth, creamy, chunky, sweet, wet, dry, etc.?
I still like this plugin enough to scan this thread, but have not bought simply because of its NFR policy. And I haven't been convinced yet of it's EOL/demise. But I'll keep scanning this thread.

Yip. PARAWAVE are settling into their normal behaviour. All their talk of enhancements to RAPID are just lies!!!
