To be frank... this was the first time since very early days before they decided to turn off any community communication... there were at least 8 years of complete silence leaving the users absolutely in the dark what could come... and there were a lot of updates many users weren´t very happy about.greymattre98 wrote: Sun Nov 02, 2025 12:40 pmjens wrote: Sat Nov 01, 2025 9:12 pm It's the same as with Bitwig. (Who unlike Presonus deliver big time though.)
And take note: Bitwig posts what they are working on. They posted what will be in Version 6 back in August and all can use and beta test if they still have the Bitwig update plan. This is for a major release.
...
Bitwig 6 was now the first time they announced before (at least a little hint) and really delivered... surpassing what most were even hoping for.

Well I bought in at version 5 and the major sub-releases were available for beta testing. So if they changed - I guess they decided being more transparent and working with their users was beneficial to their business model. Maybe PreSonus could learn something...Trancit wrote: Mon Nov 03, 2025 8:23 am To be frank... this was the first time since very early days before they decided to turn off any community communication... there were at least 8 years of complete silence leaving the users absolutely in the dark what could come... and there were a lot of updates many users weren´t very happy about.

Not talking about public beta testing... I thought you were refering to the previous announcement they did after releasing the update before...greymattre98 wrote: Mon Nov 03, 2025 11:32 amWell I bought in at version 5 and the major sub-releases were available for beta testing. Not really. We already got stem separation and melodic patterns.starflakeprj wrote: Thu Nov 06, 2025 8:35 pm Cubase 15 was released today, and suddenly Studio One seems years behind...

After looking at the Cubase 15 "features" list - I really don't feel so bad now - we have had the bulk of that stuff for years now...Crossinger wrote: Thu Nov 06, 2025 8:37 pmNot really. We already got stem separation and melodic patterns.

I feel like that, too. Studio One is the cleaned up version of Cubase, UX wise. Sadly they take eons to fix simple bugs. Communication is lacking, too. Steinberg does a much better job here. Also Cubase has modulators...!

Not sure what list you are looking at, but I don't see most of it in Studio One. The melodic patterns look eons more advanced than what Studio One offers. Modulators don't exist in S1...Vocalpoint Studios wrote: Thu Nov 06, 2025 8:39 pmAfter looking at the Cubase 15 "features" list - I really don't feel so bad now - we have had the bulk of that stuff for years now...Crossinger wrote: Thu Nov 06, 2025 8:37 pmNot really. I will give you the modulators...but I did say mostthievedletter wrote: Thu Nov 06, 2025 9:31 pmNot sure what list you are looking at, but I don't see most of it in Studio One. The melodic patterns look eons more advanced than what Studio One offers. Modulators don't exist in S1...
And if you don't use patterns as much as say - I do - "advanced" is already all there in S1. Not really a fair compare.
Glad the Cubase guys n gals got a solid new release.

Klevgrand gaffel hade been out for yearsqtheerearranger wrote: Wed Oct 15, 2025 4:41 pmWaves studio verse and then the plugin company Dime with dime tt (transient+body splitter) and dime ms (mid side splitter) and they are about to come out with a frequency splitter if you dislike waves. If im being honest I prefer the UI of waves studio verse then the splitter. Not much advice on the instrument racks - I also wish we had this in cubase.Serhii Kot wrote: Wed Oct 15, 2025 7:05 am Yes, it is quiet upsetting. If they do not extend this licence for next update, I will spend my money somewhere else. If Cubase will add something like splitter or some kind containers for fx and instruments, that would be like studio one but way better, with modulation and stuff.
Don't get me wrong a native splitter would be way better. But as someone who left s1 who loved a lot of those sorta things - I haven't missed this that much.
