24 hours waiting now, still no reg code, and thats despite jmc's best efforts to sort it out. I hope the 40,000 Creative Edition users who've f#cked this up for everyone else fall down a f#cking disused mine shaft....b#stards

That's weird. Everything should be running fine now.Ian B wrote:24 hours waiting now, still no reg code
What's possible is that your machine has cached the IP address of the server we used last night. Can you reboot and see if that fixes the problem.
If not just drop me ( jmc@image-line.com ) an email.
Wait : I'm the only one to blame here. What would you do if you receive a newsletter saying you could get a free FL 5 upgrade ?Ian B wrote:I hope the 40,000 Creative Edition users who've f#cked this up for everyone else fall down a f#cking disused mine shaft....

While we were (pseudo-public) betatesting with a couple of (very dedicated) users we slipped the 5.0 regcode along with the FL 4.5.2 regcodes.spaceman wrote:I still don't get it, I didn't even have to get a new reg code.. just installed it in a new folder and away she was
If it worked straight away it means you registered again recently.
See ya

Yes I know this and operate by the rules. I work in I.P. Legal so this is a given.Beardedone wrote:
Thanks Spe3D!
Great news.
Btw. What do you mean by this :

Its use sensibly, etc
What I dont need to tell you but need to write it in a public forum - single user one pc at one time, not both at once. Is what I mean by use sensibly. The FL page has more details about the lic code etc.
Best regards,
Spe3d

There is a problem that I wanted to post in as a new topic. But...
I can't seem to create new posts anymore... Why would that happen?
The problem is this: Songs written using 4.5.2 sound off when played in 5.0. In the FL5 docs they said that they fixed a timing issue, but that some songs using the old ver (4.5.2) won't play back correctly.
[rant]Next time if you fix a bug, at least try and make people's songs be backwards compatible with the newer version(s) of your software.[/rant]

Quote from their site:
"Time-Stretching in Audio Tracks, Slicer and Sampler. Based on the highly acclaimed ZPlane Elastique time-stretching technology, FL Studio now offers Tonal, drums, slices and resample time-stretching"
Does this also apply to the cheap FL Studio Express Edition?
Anyone already tried the Time-Stretching in the Sampler? Does it sound realistic?

Has anyone tried loading songs created with 4.5.2 into 5.0 and had the same experience I had?

Uhh, I would rather have something be bug free than worry about backwards compatibility. ILs stance has consistently been that of "finish your tracks in the version they were started in."digitaldoom wrote:There is a problem that I wanted to post in as a new topic. But...

Its not like you cant have both versions on your PC.
