Total impluse buy, have to get in on the ground floor of this one!

Can't wait, it's like a groove agent update.........WITHOUT THE DONGLE!

march 24th(3rd?) can't come soon enough so I don't have to hit play, in trackion, looped, bars 1 thru 4 (in case someone wanted to know how to use without it stopping and didn't already know)

back to playing with the demo........

Thanks for preordering! There will be another demo update after the 11th, which will add some new functionality to the demo. This should help you bridge the time :)

Just wanted to let you all know that we have just released an update for the Jamstix demo that adds functionality and fixes some important issues, such as CPU usage spiking on P4 CPUs:
  • added separate controls for funkiness and complexity for kick, snare and hihat to allow for greater flexibility in free jam
  • added smoothing control to audio-in processor
  • arranger now scrolls to keep current bar in the display
  • added hihat style control to instruct use of semi or open hats in free jam
  • added option to toggle whether Jamstix plays with the host after start-up
  • added option to toggle MIDI output
  • added SOLO and MUTE switches to cymbal panel (Mute is MIDI-automated)
  • the Start/Stop function for MIDI jams now also works for audio jams. Jamstix will wait for a certain input level before starting the jam and will end it after a few bars of silence
  • fixed "chirpy" sound when open hihat gets muted by group under certain circumstances
  • fixed problems with VSTi that want to store more than 500kB of chunk data (i.e. Drumatic 3)
  • fixed shuffle mode being switched off in free and key word jam
  • fixed Pentium-4 denormalization issues leading to CPU spikes
  • fixed double-loading of internal samples when switching manually from external to internal
  • fixed Mode switch showing incorrect state after loading chunk data

Cannot wait to have the final product.

Fantastic product... Cannot believe it's so affordable !!!
10000 great ideas... some are big fantastic ideas, other are just some great little things that makes life easier....
Everything is very well designed, very easy and very fun to use ...
My drum tracks will never be the same.... (OK that's not a hard task... )

Is it normal that in Manual Jam after an intro on bar 1 the bar 2 is silent and the rythm keep on at 3 ?
I use tracktion...

Jamstick really deserves to be a great success !!!!
Congratulations and thank you again !!! :D

Jamstix has a hard time synching up with Tracktion when playback starts, you can probably see that on the bar/beat counters in Jamstix. After a few bars it runs fine. We will fix this but for now just start two bars early so Jamstix can synch up.

The update seems to work fine in Sonar 4 except for the explanation boxes when hovering over a control. They flash up for a second and then disappear. I'm using the cakewalk adapter. The boxes work fine in Live 4.1.1 :?

Yes, it's got something to do with Cakewalk VST because it works fine with Sonar 4/DirectiXer.

We're working on it...

Zauni- You got another order! Great stuff, cant wait for the full version... I do have one question, and cant figure out what im doing wrong. In order to get Jamstix to play in Sonar-4, must i always be in record mode? Shouldnt i just load the vst into Sonar-4 and...? Is this where a play button would come in handy? Or do i have to be in record mode to always play Jamstix...? Sorry- im confused... Can you help?

Thanks for the pre-order, Spikey!

Sonar 4 does not play unless it has events in a track. You can either record or you can place a dummy event in any track (like a controller or pedal or a single note) and Sonar will play up to that event.

Other hosts are not like that, it's a Sonar thing...
