Hmm, i am deinstalling this synth. Had 2 crashes already and so far i don't really like the workflow, look&feel and sound. Rapid is the winner here (for me that isSoundplex wrote:Workflow, look & feel, feature wise, mod-matrix, fx, content, soundwise, available plugin formats, manual, ...I literally had not 1 single issue with Rapid. Awesome synth, runs awesome, smooth and great content (already, and more to come). So, with the bugs, content issues (server overload? 403..whatever), stuck notes,,,how is this better so far?

Any news on when the demo version will be released please?
Got to note, the sound bank prices are rather hefty £55. But hey that's if you want/need them.
With the bug reports, I definately want to demo before shelling out and want to make use of the current promo before I dive in

I can live with the fans for now (still think that metal api is the way to go on OSX here) but how the hell can i install the factory content and patches?
I can open it, locate it and it install it but then i just have an initial patch and no patches, wavetables, etc at all.
When closing and open it again it ask me always again about missing content.
So maybe Rapid sounds really 10 times better for now

The sample editor is soooo rudimentary, I was prepared after reading some stuff here but having no crossfade looping, no alternate looping, no looping function at all means, that one has to prepare every single sample of a sample map in an external editor and the results will never be as smooth - e.g. for pads and smooth textures - as having a crossfade looping function with long x-fade times (like several seconds) and adjusting the slopes of the loops.
On the positive side, the Resample-quality is quite good, could be longer when dragging in long wavs (it's only a few seconds atm, haven't measure exactly) but the sound quality is ok.

Same here. I'm in Canada and I don't have to pay VAT. I asked Manuel and he told me to ask shareit. I did, waiting for a reply. It's not exactly like your problem, but maybe they'll correct it for all similar one.SLiC wrote:anyone tried ordering with the VAT number in?

Right clicking on a knob to add a modulator is pretty standard nowadays, so in AV everything has to be done via the matrix I guess - tedious.

To be honest, i find Rapid's sound quality equally good. + no weirdness (bugs, sticky notes, annoying content screens). I hope Vengeance will hold the 20% sale untill they fix those bugs...i literally had 2 crashes in 5 minutes of testingCinebient wrote:I can live with the fans for now (still think that metal api is the way to go on OSX here) but how the hell can i install the factory content and patches?

Actually, all you need to do is drag the modulator to the function you want to modulate, i.e. LFO1 to Filter Cutoff. A slot will automatically appear in the matrix that you can fine tune the amount of modulation to.Sampleconstruct wrote:Right clicking on a knob to add a modulator is pretty standard nowadays, so in AV everything has to be done via the matrix I guess - tedious.

Sure, if you like to spend money on an way overpriced bright & harsh sounding vst only product with less features and content... The only good thing with Rapid is the number of wavetable slices (I thought up to 10k!?). Didn't test how much Avenger can do. But then the lack of importing owns ruins this.exmatproton wrote:Hmm, i am deinstalling this synth. Had 2 crashes already and so far i don't really like the workflow, look&feel and sound. For the record, dialing back the "treble" control in the default filter fixes that. I also thought Rapid sounds harsh, but it is capable of very pleasant "creamy" tones.Soundplex wrote:bright & harsh sounding

I agree completely. I find that the vst sounds very rich. The tonal controls are great.recursive one wrote:For the record, dialing back the "treble" control in the default filter fixes that.
