I know there is an Unfiltered Audio Spec Ops (which is really cool, but it doesn't sound like it at all) and a tricky filter in IL Harmor, but I don't use FL Studio.
discodsp vertigo is similar.

there is also virsyn cube or poseidon, but these don't seem to be actively supported anymore except for versions that run on iOS.

if you can live without doing it in a plugin, izotope rx is an option (part of the editor from that went into iris in the first place) or there's metasynth - and then export the edits and dump them into a sampler.

So they're finally and officially burying Iris 2, it's a pity really...
Dear Customers,
We’re writing to let you know that iZotope products Iris 2, BreakTweaker, and Trash 2 will no longer be available for purchase from iZotope.com. Support for these products will remain in effect for 12 months from your date of purchase.

In many threads over the years, people have wished for innovative updates to Iris 2 and Trash 2. I hope some other company with vision does something nifty with an Iris-type concept. I was wondering if Steinberg might somehow incorporate SpectraLayers into an instrument.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Years ago I had a long email exchange with Brad the iZotope Iris 2 product manager who said that it never got the status of being used as an instrument by big name musicians, only by sound design geeks. There are so many outstanding but abandoned synths that will never be duplicated, so we need to maintain our old computers like we do our old synths.

Well, if Grimes isn't a big name for iZotope I don't know what else could be

Great example!
I love the vision of Grimes-wanna-be customers driving massive sales of Iris worldwide! :o
That's the kind of unfiltered world I want to live in

A real shame about Iris, have always liked and defended it. Nothing else quite like it really.

The problem is they tried with version 2 to mass market it but shafted all the people who had been using version 1 for sound design. Their marketing was led by short sighted fools who failed to see what it could be

Iris was one truly innovative synth. I doubt we will see anything like it again. :(

Izotope seem to be more interested in this AI crap.
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

I don't get your sarcasm. I don't even like Grimes.

What can be an alternative?

I wasn't being sarcastic, but imagining if iZotope's theory became reality in a parallel dimension.

Dave takes his idea back, and GForce develop it.
Set Theory claim:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate.
Red is Red and anything that is Red is an object, a class in itself or a real thing if you prefer"
