*Please note the '*upload-master-track' status of your song. Please upload your song master file, if ready, if you have not yet done so, in 24 or 32 bit wav/flac.

Also, please fill in the Tag info for your song before you upload it to the FTP site, using THIS file naming format: (title/artist - or - artist/title)

i.e. GoldenThroat&Handsome_Xander.wav.

*If your song is in the complete list, but the link is not active or correct, please PM xander.

*Final track numbers will depend on song lengths.

*PM xander with your artist bios and lyrics (if you have any) for inclusion on the liner notes.

FTP Upload Instructions:

Server: 65.254.59.234

Port: 21
User ID/Login: katrina@audiopedia.org
Password: relief

************NOTE:*************
Make sure you upload a full wav file mixdown. If possible AT ALL, don't use mp3 as your upload. Yes, the files are bigger, but that's fine. It helps with the end quality of mastering. Upload AT LEAST 44.1khz and 16 bit*******************

Contact Koolkeys or post here with any FTP questions or if this isn't a viable option for you.

** IF YOU ARE STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE FTP SITE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. WE MAY BE ABLE TO HOST & UPLOAD FOR YOU.

*IMPORTANT ==> CURRENT NOTICES:

Bios

It appears we may not have room on the CD itself for bios or lyrics due to the number of songs. So, we have decided it may be best to get a unique website that will host artist bios and lyrics/descriptions for each song. This is a great idea and so the link would be made available in the CD liner.

Any thoughts of comments on this are welcome. :)

I think it's a good idea. If possible, I say we use the current site but have a link. Hey, it may also help people who want to order by learning more about the musicians and such.

Also, I think we should advertise the current site even if after we go through CDbaby or whoever. Then the current site will link to the CDbaby page. It will seem more professional. So I think all the info should be on the current site then leading to CDbaby to buy.

I agree. We need a central place to point our marketing efforts. Hopefully cdbaby will help generate sales themselves, internally. But we should focus all our marketing efforts towards katrinareliefcd.com. It makes it more cohesive, professional, and it is a good place for incentive based information and such.

Yeah, we definitely need a Chrysalid site. It would be better for everyone involved, I think, with bios, track previews etc.

By the way, we are "stuck" at 90 previews...let's get our show moving again. :)

That's up to our host -- Kovacs. It's why we talked about having a separate web page for the artist info -- maybe offload some future traffic from his graciously provided site. ;)

Pre-order sent :) I'd like to have contributed a track to this but things here were just too insane the last few weeks

Post

Hmmm....how much bandwidth are you currently using for this Kovacs. Perhaps you could give us an estimate on how much bandwidth would be required with a new site that has bios, previews, etc? Then we can search out a good solution.

Not much bandwith at the moment. We can stay on my server for a long time, I think, even if we start using track previews and even downloads. So far I think we've used 2MB...my main site uses about 15-20Gigs/month so we have at least 50-60Gigs more. And there's plenty of server space.

Edit: Should have read "so far we have used 250MB"...still not much.

By the way, thanks to Gwydi we're now at 91 preorders. :)

If for some reason the bandwidth gets up there, I could maybe host the images on my server, so that takes a big part of the bandwidth off his site. He would just re-link the images to the new location.

Kovacs, just let me know if you run into a problem. If you need me to host some of the sound clips(if we have them) or images for some reason. I have plenty of bandwidth on two different servers, both pretty good ones. So let me know if you for some reason do run into a problem, which by the sounds of it, you won't. But just in case!

Thanks Koolkeys. I'll get in touch as soon as it becomes an issue.

If you'd rather host the site I have no problems with that, it's not a personal issue for me.

It doesn't make a difference to me. I don't want to take your contribution away. You are doing a fantastic job, and that's not my intention. I just wanted to offer to help if for some reason it does become a problem. But, as you said, that much bandwidth is doubtful to be used up. But no, I'm not trying to take that away from you!
