It's hard to please everyone in a big group buy like this. But that said I think some of you are going to be blown away. We've really gone all out on this! I hope we can have it all uploaded by the 30th though. It's cutting it close... I may have risked it by adding those last minute things but I DO believe it made the product better and more people will be happy. That's the most important thing here. Whew! Stressful. But exciting!

You're doing a great job Squidly! I am very excited about working with all this new content and with these new features.Squids wrote:It's hard to please everyone in a big group buy like this. It would be nice to have some stuff on the 30th, but if you are delayed by a day or two it won't be the end of the world. Just posting EZ Player Pro and the MIDI grooves will give most of us something new to play and experiment with. I could probably spend a couple of days converting all my existing MIDI grooves from BFD and DrumCore and sorting through them in EZ Player Pro.

The only problem now is deciding which multitrack kit to pick , I'm leaning towards the ndv gretsch myself it has a nice clarity to it, very lively sounding only problem is I don't like the toms that much too barky for me(but i guess thats the intent with single headed toms

I think by the 30th you will not have it all ready for us. But i'm also conscience that every time we broke the 200 barrier, then the 300, then 400 and now it seems that we're going to break the 500 people barrier, you always gave us some else which means more work, more patches to apply... endless work. Its not an easy task for sure. All your crew mates must be completely stressed out to fulfill the dead line.Squids wrote:It's hard to please everyone in a big group buy like this. So i'll not be disappointed at all if the dead line is not achieved. As for me just be cool and enjoy life, don't get an heart attack with all this stress going on because then we would get them for sure, right?
Cheers mate

Thanks guys. We've done these before and most of the time it goes okay but it IS tough to get all of the goodies together all at once... especially with it being dynamic. So, realistically I think we are going to have to deliver this bit by bit. The main thing is get you all something to get going - like the MAIN product!
The extras are the things that may end up being delayed but we'll see what we can do. Everyone is stressed to the max and we have half a team because some people are on holiday. I am also supposed to be on holiday but doing everything I can from here to move things along as quickly as possible.
The good news is that even if the group buy ends on the 30th we are seriously considering letting the product be purchasable at this price for another 2 more weeks. Granted the counter will be off for those two weeks so you still need to reach 500 let's say by midnight on the 30th to get the additional MT kit. It WILL be good at a certain point to close the extras because the more we add the longer it takes... kind of a catch 22! But, really this is all just great, better, better and better when it comes to adding it all up in terms of what you get.
The other thing I think will be good is a chance for people to have it in their hands and learn it, talk about it, maybe DrummerGal and others can do some videos to see it in action. Maybe when I get back I can finally do the video demos I wanted to. I am still going to do an audio demo per kit (for the main kits anyway, maybe a bunch of the hybrids too) that you can have the mp3s of to use for reference (Zedd's suggestion). It's a lot! But this isn't just going to disappear after this is over. This is the introduction to a whole new range with these DM2 features and a great place to start getting used to what it can do. So there will be a lot of help, a lot of useful tips and tricks, a lot more stories and perspectives to share about this and all of the other samples we're doing for the Infinite Player/Kontakt platform.

Patience is a virtue - do it right the first time and all that. The 30th is a tight deadline given all the additional stuff that's been added. I'd publish the constants such as EZPlayer PRO, Infinite Player, any kits that are ready, and tkae a few days to get anything else ironed out. While I'm sure some are inpatient for everything, I'd rather it be right than buggy.

Well I must say I will be disappointed if the Kits are not available on 30th for sure because I have been waiting for these Kits (checking my esoundz account often to check if it was already there) as we broke the 200 barrier a long time back. But Zedd was right in saying that it is not the end of the World and pcaseiro in saying you shouldn't overly stress yourself and your team.pcaseiro wrote:I think by the 30th you will not have it all ready for us. Though it would help if some things were uploaded a little earlier like the EZPlayer Infinity player, Oddgrooves etc

But don't write off the Toontracks stuff...it's really excellent for sketching out songs in no time flat, and the drums are surprisingly good. Plus you can drive them with no end of MIDI sequences from OddGrooves and Groove Monkee. It's what i'd use if i were trying to demo a song for a band. The eSoundz drums here are for other purposes, where the only musician is me...ebow wrote:i nearly paid 150 for ezdrummer with one expansion at the end of november, so this just worked out a proper treat
I'm just a ho when it comes to drums, i admit it...DrumCore, RMV, GURU, Battery, on and on...

Well, we don't want to disappoint anyone. So let's see what happens. We will do our best and try not to compromise important things just to meet a deadline. We did run into a few snags which made it not possible to be ready earlier (for a while it looked like it could). So, now we want to make sure we've got everything together in time and I can't say definitively what will be ready in what order. I do think the Multitrack kits may have to come a little later but maybe not. The person I had on those had to be pulled to help knock out this OWD script update so tomorrow is a new day. We should have most of it ready so you can start playing soon.
