Has anyone else noticed that pretty much all the major devs have been absent from this thread? Apart from a single comment from Urs to deny a u-he takeover it seems like its just us lot in here.
I suspect most of them have some sort of inclination or knowledge of the true story and are staying quiet.
Perhaps the conspiracy runs deeper than we realise!

Since Google has self-driving cars, why not have them knock up a self-driving company?penguinfromdeep wrote:I don't think there's such thing as 0-man company ...

LOL, care to elaborate. That's the speculation of the day so far.mutantdog wrote:

I think sound designers are more likely to comment in the threads of friendly competitors.mutantdog wrote:Has anyone else noticed that pretty much all the major devs have been absent from this thread?
There isn't much time for devs to be populating one-anothers forums with chitchat.
Maybe devs who all live in the Berlin area, and play poker on weekends,
are an exception.

At least not until KVR is bought out.deft_bonz wrote:No end to this gabbling
KVR is run by a Ben. CA was run by a Ben. Run Away! We're doomed! All the Bens are being bought out.
It's a sinister Sesame street corporate takeover.

Haven't IKM already done that with their in-app shop?mandolarian wrote: Since Google has self-driving cars, why not have them knock up a self-driving company?

My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Unify = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.

Exactly. An implied conspiracy is more powerful than a real one. Well done.mutantdog wrote:I fear i've said too much already.Sampleconstruct wrote:LOL, care to elaborate. That's the speculation of the day so far.mutantdog wrote:

It's called "professionalism". Urs' comment was light-hearted and informative, but anything more, like speculation or interpretation of the event, would look bad and reflect poorly on their own business.mutantdog wrote:Has anyone else noticed that pretty much all the major devs have been absent from this thread? It is not their business.

If all the likely suspects appeared in this thread with denials would you believe them though?
The poker playing theory is good though. Now what other companies are based in Edinburgh? … I bet my company for your company ….

Barely. Can you buy penis-enhancing potions inside CSR? Can you buy a flight to Tuscany in Sampletank? Hail an Uber cab? Order Pizza inside T-racks from a geo-located establishment within a 5Km radius of your rig?Ben H wrote:Haven't IKM already done that with their in-app shop?mandolarian wrote: Since Google has self-driving cars, why not have them knock up a self-driving company?

This is the sort of 'productivity' enhancements google could bring to the VST world.

Sigh... this is disappointing. With the Iris 2 update being an underwhelming effort, I was starting to really consider Alchemy, which I had always admired from afar. I just went to CA, logged in and had forgotten I actually bought a library a few years back. Downloaded and backed that up along with the player. Sooooo many libraries I wanted to buy but never got around to. :/
