Can I just say thanks for the support for the OSC

... looking forward to working on something. This will be an insane round, just watch it.

Probably worth keeping an eye on the OSC thread for potential bug reports.

provoc, Ok, good debugging on your part, sounds like there could indeed be a problem.
I'll add this to the list of issues I will be getting to the bottom of this weekend.

How to load custom single cycle wave from file? In file browser it previews wav file correctly but when I hit load and close browser panel it revert back to default. I'm usually not reading manual but hitting load (as stated in manual) not work for me not matter in what wav index I try to load custom shape.

For no reason, sometimes the options under Audio components will sometimes disappear in Reaper Win 10. Latest 2.7. Any ideas? Restart reaper and it comes back.

Is this the Wave Draw or Wave Table oscillator?

I use custom single cycle all the time.
I add a wave draw oscillator, hit waves, in the browser click on the WAV,
hit Load, and the new WAV is loaded, works fine.

If you are in the wave table oscillator is the blue saw or pulse buttons illuminated?

funcitonform, I've never seen those disappear. They are not dynamic, they are created and never deleted.

Do you remember exactly what you were doing when they disappeared?

No but I'll keep an eye out for it. I'm using the MT build mono for the OSC while we wait for the special distribution. It's happened a couple of times.

Just bought licence, but I cannot get the 2.7.1 64 bit versions to show up in Reaper - is there an MT build for the latest 64-bit Pro version I can use? Tried all the versions, including the HS update (I have 12 cores, so would like a multicore ware implementation to play with!)

As per the problems with the MONO versions, the 32-bits work OK.

Windows 10.

Any ideas?

It sounds like you are getting some very strange behavior on your system with stuff that has been working for years with no problems.

I’m suspiciouse that you may not have the Visual Studio 2012 or 2015 C++ redistributable installed.

This is my fault for not letting people know about this.

I just updated the manual at the very beginning to include instructions for installing the correct VS C++ redistributable.

Download the latest manual and give it a try, it’s at the very beginning under install instructions.

Please give that a try and let me know if it helps with those problems, then report back.

If not, I will debug it the best I can, but it’s tough because I run Reaper for a lot of my testing and I don’t have the same problems, and if I can’t reproduce it, it’s almost impossible to fix, so try the above and let me know.

Also if you are in the OSC contest, please use the polyphonic download to get started, I'll put it at the top of this thread.

If you are not in OSC and use the download, it's OK, but please consider buying Fathom as the upcoming month is critical for the project and your support is much needed and appreciated.

Actually it is the same in wave table or wave draw osc. While browser is open i can preview my custom single cycle waves but after closing they are not loaded. Pressing load button doesn't work for me. For your last suggestion about I have 2005, 2008, 2010, 2013 and 2017 redistributable installed.

Here to report again. No problem in Fathom Pro for OSC. So there is bug in free mono version running in FL Studio 12.5.1 64bit using 64 bit Fathom.

Going to support you and buy it

. Hope I will have time to make track for OSC as I planned.

I downloaded the OSC MT version and that's just fine ... thanks...

This version doesn't seem to be around in the normal downloads but you have to go to updates and use the Windows 7 MT build - maybe note that this also fixes the problems in the Windows 10 build ...

No non-MT 64-bit builds work at all with Reaper and Windows 10 ... sigh ...

I still find it relatively easy to cause clicky behavior. This patch is for the OSC build (win 10 dll). Alias Free Additive Sine wive. Key D3 and A3 back and forth like a fast drum and the osc will start clicking. CPU usage at 0.4% and I've already made all the Reaper suggested changes per the fathomsynth site. 16 gig ram.

I find that installing the MS C++ 2017 Redistributable appears to fix the Windows 10 and Reaper issues for me.

Should I use the standard or HS version - will the HS version use my multicore better?

Advice?

Doc, OK, that is good information for me. Yes I was hoping VS C++ Redist was the issue.
Glad to hear that confirmed. It should help people now having it at the top of the manual install section.

The HS build is also an MD (dynamic link) build with multi-core enabled and Vector SIMD enabled for Dial movement.
It is pretty much just based on experimentation, if it works then use it.

If you are on Windows 10 with VS C++ Redist and the standard build works, then the HS build should work also.

Frostline, I found the cause of the skipping notes bug. That will be fixed in 2.8 (possible Monday release).

I have not forgotten about the other bugs this page, I will be reviewing them for 2.8.
