I had the Ableton problems at first too. I'm pretty sure it is only the VST3 version which crashes Ableton. Remove the VST3 plugin and reinstall with the older VST, and it should work. At least that did it for me...

Similar situation here but Studio1. Have to uninstall all vst2 and vst3 and reinstall just vst2.

I only installed VST3 version in Studio One and so far no problems at all.

Am I the only one that thinks $70 for a preset bank/expansion is a bit much? Seriously making me re-consider buying the synth since I generally like to buy some preset banks as well.

I agree. I can't imagine them selling that well at that price.

Anyone know if 3rd parties can create/sell presets for Avenger? Wondering if maybe we'll see cheaper competition...

Maybe the problem is if you select to install both the VST2 and VST3, but it works correctly if you only do one or the other. Not sure. At any rate, it is possible to get Avenger running in Ableton Live without crashing.

I had exactly the same thought. IMHO The pricing is out of touch.

I can't get any version to load in any FLstudio 12.4. It always gives me a message about a critical error or a connection was lost

Yes, Avenger isn't like Nexus. You can easily create a custom expansion.

yes you missed something. You missed 596 wavetables to be precise Seems you only checked out the static OSC shapes

we are investigating this. If there is a problem, there will be a fix today. EDIT: you have to have UAC turned off or you have to start the hosts as ADMIN. (workaround) will be fixed today as I said

on the first sight, yes. But you get more than just 128 presets. You also get tons of content, for example this comes with the EDM1 xp:

131 Presets
26 Drumkits & 26 Sequences (these are 312 drum samples)
81 Multisamples
41 Shapes
10 Wavetables

81 multisamples alone justify the price. You can use all this stuff for creating your own presets.
Of course they might be 3rd party presetpacks soon. Maybe much cheaper. But take a look if they have the same coverage we offer. Furthermore all the 131 presets have all macros assigned, they are volume matched, have all search tags applied, an expansion icon... some little things which can be forgotten easily.

btw at the moment they are cheaper, since we have xmas discount -20% (52€)

Sadly i had Not much time yesterday......

The First time i also demoed Rapid.
The gui of Rapid is looking like a cheap synth, the Handling is fiddly in many Parts especially you dont have asap options to transform your Wave.
But man... The Sound is really nice!! Thick, harsh in a good way and just oomph!!!

Avenger has so many knobs i need more time but when i initialized a preset and wanted to compare only the Basic saw with Rapid i couldnt get it done. Why? The Sound was totally different. Muffled, tooo pure, plasticy?.
A Big letdown for me after counting the hours. I Mist have done something very wrong i guess.

Manuel, please A simple way of using a user sample as an sound source a la Phalanx. To be able to drop a user sample into the Osc would be great. I don't want to create multisampled instruments but just use one sample. it works in the the drum machine but nowhere else.

good point, ok understand now. This was on the list for an update. Its no big change. We plan to have a 2nd option for the Drumsequencer in the routing menu. Turn it on like the way its now, or turn it on, that each Key play its loop individually (C plays only kick loop, D# plays only clap loop etc...). will come

Morning - thank you for that reply, and that would certainly be helpful. Perhaps there's an opportunity there - since individual element loops wouldn't lend themselves to being triggered whilst also playing the synth (as used in the SQ patches), it would make sense to have this new mode also include the individual hits. So (say) C1-B2 = individual hits, C2 -B3 = individual loops. Come to think of it, it would be nice to then have the full loop on C3! There would be a good logic to this actually - the drum sequencer mode A is as now to be used as part of combo patches, mode B is the breakout mode for more serious / detailed work.

Have enjoyed my first fumblings with the synth. I think you have all the basics in place and really well thought through, and this will be a terrific platform for patch designers. Two other early areas of concern for me - the synth behaved perfectly on my main W10 rig, but I too got the soaring temperatures on a 2016 MBP, which I believe is related to graphics (and better font readability at sub-100% sizes would be nice). The second area is in analogue modelling - so far I haven't really found that analogue warmth I was hoping for (not withstanding it can do a great 303 impression - minimoogs seem tougher to approach). I've been trying the analogue wavetables and filters, but it does seem Avenger is more naturally suited to crisp and digital.

But from what I read, is there really no possibility for parallel processing, i.e. routing one oscillator to multiple shapers, filters & fx busses simultaneously and not one after another?
