Yeah that's clear. I was just thinking if it creates a track it should be recordable - I'll try some sort of bounce (would a freeze do the trick I wonder?). I was just thinking of using Rebirth as a sort of beatbox.

I'm having a bit of trouble findig a good way to use ReBirth as well. I can rewire to Reason, but then Reason is host and won't be rewired as slave in Tracktion.
And I can select Rebirth Audio as a ReWire device in Tracktion, but so far I haven't figured out how to make that work as desired.
ANyone have a smart way of including RB in your Tracktion setup?

Warning for those using eMule (or any other edonkey network client) to get it:

the file ("rebirth_pc_installation.zip") should have hash 3DC715DE48649B11B0C5B6C93279F755. There are other files out there, like "rebirth_pc_installation_fixed.iso", that are not coming from me, and are obviously somehow altered. The one I put up for download is the original I downloaded from rebirthmuseum.com.

Download is now working fine for me at around 30-40 kbps (could be faster as I'm on a 2mbit DSL line, but hey, there still seems to be some demand...), using Free Downloadmanager, recommended by Tommo - which seems to be quite better than the others.

Rebirth is recordable in a Rewire-compatible host sequencer. You usually have to do some jiggery-pokery in the audio routing. The various Rebirth Channels, eg. 808 BD, etc come up in a list. The manual PDF details examples for Cubase and Logic as far as I remember.

If you're using opera, you can just go to the transfers page, right click the download and select resume transfer. It continues where it left off. My download must have stopped ten times, but it all went well in the end.

eMule is a free download, open source and (therefore) spy/adware free (http://www.emule-project.net). It just keeps on downloading until the file is complete. It never "stops" halfway (it will patiently wait if no other clients are online that have the file, and continue if one comes online). Furthermore: the more people have it running and are downloading rebirth, or already have rebirth downloaded, the faster it will go!

I would suggest anybody having these download troubles to use it.

No luck here with Safari on Mac OS X. Downloaded it all night and the file said it was complete prematurely, and of course it won't unzip. :bang:

Couldn't figure out how to get wget (thanks for the tip whoever gave the tip) or curl past the log-in screen either...

hehe - I had wonderful and extensive problems yesterday trying to get this to unzip and mount.

Try Daemontools and DaemonUI. I also had to grab DeepBurner because Roxio (my normal CD software) wouldn't recognise the file or format. :? It's a complicated process (or at least I found it to be so) but in the end I got there with a little (well, a LOT) of help from a friend.

I almost gave up tbh - way too much bother just for an old synth. And now I've got several programmes on my computer which I didn't have before and apparently just need to run this instrument. :?

Just gimme a .dll please and let's have done with it.
I don't even know how much I'll use this thing.

once it had downloaded, all I had to do was rename it to .nrg in stead of .iso, and Daemon Tools mounted it no problem.
