Audiodamage plugins are so friggin good they don't need demos. I finally got it and did a brief test. It's amazing, really. A 'must have' regarding the price! 
But to allay your fears, bmanic: it fills exactly the lack, what AAR can't do, on the other hand, it can't do lots of things, AAR can do...
So, my first impression is, both do an excellent job and complement each other perfectly. I'd think more that the CSR owners should start whining now, hehe...
In detail, the Reverence comes to me a little bit like a one trick pony. Perfect big snare reverb, very clear, spatial, punchy. For synths, also very good, because of it's nice modulation. But you only have this one sound - either you love it or you don't. I had problems to get good sounding rooms out of it, the smaller the roomsize, the more metallic/blubbery it sounds. On the other hand, very long tails are difficult, too, because there is always the (sometimes very nice!) flutter and movement in the tail. Btw, the decay knob shows lots of numbers, but for sure never the real decay time...
The filtering options are very rough, quite impossible to make the reverb sound very different and to get it elsewhere, if you need it. It would have been great to give the user more options in this categroy than the original device. Also, I do not really understand, what the diffusion option does, I just hear a push up in the high frequencies...
The modulation, as nice as I found it on synths/vocals/brass etc., turns into bad if it comes to some acoustic instruments. Piano? Horrible, sounds like honkeytonk (except if you want that...).
To sum up, reverence is outstanding for those purposes, where a vintage digital plate algorithm is the right thing. It complements imho perfectly to the ArtsAcoustic Reverb. People having the CSR might not need it, people, who need just the typical Lexicon plate sound might not need to buy the CSR anymore.

Yeah, I wouldn't try to get rooms out of Reverence. It's a digital plate. After a day of messing with it, it seems to be a really nice complement to Ambience, which I've been using on drums.

Okay found a little bug here I think.... when switching the plug-in on and off quite a few times in FL... (to always get that aha moment... wow it sounds so much better with the reverb on *gg* - and now don't say use the revrb off button instead
