Ken recorded "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" but swears he doesn't remember Clapton coming in the studio for that session. Although there was a lot of people coming in and out, playing various parts so there's some mystery in there.BERFAB wrote:A bit different, but I'm reading Clapton's autobiography right now which is very good. The insider stuff on his relationship with the Beatles, Harrison, and how he recorded various bits on their records is fascinating (to me at least). Not a recording how-to, but a great memoir that really reads like fiction.

Btw, if you guys have any questions for Ken I can pass them along. They could get answered in his book! Not just about The Beatles either. He's recorded quite a lot in his day.

As Clapton tells it, Harrison invited him in, but there was nothing planned about him actually playing on the record. He also says that he tried to kind of blend into the scenery because he didn't know the other Beatles very well at that point and he felt like an intruder.Squids wrote:Ken recorded "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" but swears he doesn't remember Clapton coming in the studio for that session. So if Clapton was trying to make himself invisible, that might be why Ken doesn't remember him at the sessions. (This was after Cream and before Blind Faith, BTW.)

I was thinking of the Frost* forum but feel too guilty to make my first post on the new forum an ad
And I think mine should have made 95, but it didn't seem to
I can't remember when it turns up on the eSoundz account - straight away, or when the GB finishes

Hmm, I need to buy that then. I remember having a quick look in the shop and it seemed really interesting.
There are two Clapton biographies though, are you reading the paperback one with him in b/w on the cover?

This is his autobiography which just came out in paperback, I believe. The cover is black with his signature in red.soulata wrote:BERFAB wrote:Squids wrote:BERFAB wrote:A bit different, but I'm reading Clapton's autobiography right now which is very good.

I don't believe so. Even though it's a download, the software product does not originate with Esoundz.heavensdaw wrote:Hi guys.. Quick question.. Can our epointz go towards this GB?
