It is like a fine bottle of wine. Let it lay there in silence until the time is right and it tastes even better!

Watch out, the early reflections from a bottle of wine thrown against a brick wall might not be to everybody's taste.jobromedia wrote:It is like a fine bottle of wine. Let it lay there in silence until the time is right and it tastes even better!
Cheers,
susiwong
You could probably use a brickwall limiter to limit the influence of the wall.

looks like we will all be old and grey before we see the likes of this huh Bootsie? ...after all a mature wine, cheese or reverb unit needs years of storage and careful testing in order to get the "vintage" goodness out of it.

chill out people, let the guy breath and work on this, if we get it before it's ready and fully tested and it starts messing up our systems we won't be very happy, so give him space. Go ahead Bootsie, do your thing buddy.

yeah, chill-out dudes, no reason to lift.
The epicVerb release is scheduled to december this year.
I have removed the old sound samples in the opening post today since there was so much progress and enhancement soundwise during the beta releases.
Here is some actual epicVerb fun sound demos showing what will be possible and available soon ...
1.) Realtime animations of certain reverb parameters which a convolution reverb can't give you, as well as that nice reverb tail animation (listen to the very last 'boom' in the demo - ain't that awesome?). This shows the ability of EV on small rooms which are rendered now without any artefacts or comb-filtering kind of effects:
one
2.) An example of a nice slap-bass in a warm and gentle 'room' model:
two
3.) Some short trumpet sample in a nice and large virtual place:
three
cheers,
bootsy

Sounds excellent. This reminds me a lot of the reverb Kilroy had built in his SCOPE environment.
