I have emailed you about this problem a few times now & sent you a picture illustrating the problem. But you said you had a problem seeing the picture so I thought I'd post it here.

As you can see from the picture above there is no activity in the meter on the right side (the output side) of the plugin at all. This should only look like that if there is no sound coming from the host DAW (paused or stopped).
The Demo version I tried before I bought this was absolutley fine it showed activity on both the left (input) side & the right (output) side. Forgive me if I seem a little over explanatory but you didn't seem to fully understand the description I gave of the problem
In my emails.

Your response was: "The picture you have sent us is not visible, can you please attach to this e-mail. Also, you do realize the VU meter on the right side is showing the gain-reduction? anyway, just send the picture again and we will have a look, thanks."

The Meter on the right side of the plugin is showing, siltch, nadda, nothing!!!
This should not be the case.

Here's how it should look: (pic from the user manual)

I'd really appreciate it if you could address this problem as soon as possible, Thanks

hi,

in the answer of crysonic support theay say that the right meter shows gain reduction only, so is there is no gain reduction applied there is nothing to show. So try driving the plugin more. If you still cannot see an output reduction there something wrong. But to me it seems that in input gain (left meter) is just very low so that the limiter just has nothing to do.

cheers, akj

yep the input level is too low to make reduction. do you know what is a limiter?

Hi Peevy2000

As we have asked on many occasions we would appreciate keeping this thread free from support inquiries regarding individual plug-ins. We have received your e-mail and have now responded to it. We were not sure what you meant initially as the picture was not showing.

We are aware of this issue and it is an easy fix and should be available in the next couple of days. Thanks,

Just thought I would say that I have only had good service from Crysonic; including resupplying me with a new installer very quickly after I bought a new laptop and had misplaced by back up during a move from the UK to Australia.

I've heard from Crysonic. They do know about the Wavelab issue and promised a new version in about a week. Otherwise I can have a full refund.
Finally a response after so many months of silence!
Let's hope for the best.

So start a new thread where people can place support inquiries. Or better yet ask Ben for a KVR developer's forum where people can go to discuss your plugins. Email support only is too slow and inefficient as witnessed in this thread. If five people have the same problem you have to respond five times whereas on a forum all five people can see they have the same problem and many times users can solve their own problems without the need for official support. Anyway manning a dedicated company forum is working for a growning number of devs here and after all I assume the idea is to mend fences with the members of KVR. A dedicated Crysonic forum would help in that regard in my opinion.

EDIT: I'll bury this as an edit.................. 03/24/10

You've been with Crysonic for 4 years..........Why all of a sudden after all this time try to make amends? Or is it about making something else?

I agree that a forum is more transparent and efficient for many issues. This should of course be supplemented with good personal email support, just as we know it from fine developers, like Voxengo!

Hi Teksonik,

This is a great idea and I will contact Ben soon to see if they can help us. It will certainly make our Job a little easier and will be a tremendous help for all our current users.

Just got my Free Plugin and the response was great, all the way through the processs.

I really appreciate it when people don't just offer an apology but also do something to makeup for any shortcomings.
I think that's a sign of integrity. IMO.

I got my Spectralive auto today, thanks guys!

What I like about their plugs is they're different sounding. How that relates to your own music is another thing, but it's fun testing these out.

Will you send e-mail regarding this or how will we know when fixed version is available?

I received my free copy of spectraliveNXT 3.5 yesterday, along with an activation code. That's pretty generous considering I was only a no-brainer customer. I would like to thank Crysonic for this; I am happy.

Crysonic also answered my support query about a crash/freezing issue when using SpectraPhy LE in FL Studio. Apparently, they are aware of the issue and a fix is on the way.

There are a few more things I would like to add; There was some hesitation from me to purchase the no brainer deal, purely based on what I've read on this forum. Seeing as that was a long time ago, I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and accepted that I may not get any support for these plugins. So far, that assumption has being proven to be entirely inaccurate. I hope that this continues in that direction.

Personally, I think their plugins are unique and useful and I think some of the concepts they have for future plugins sound interesting. What I would like to see next are concise manuals for the existing plugins, detailng what is actually happening under the hood and which processes are taking place. Surely this can be done without giving away any "trade secrets". Off the top of my head, an example of a good manual would be that of Arts Acoustic Reverb. Kudos to AA for a great manual. Full of details about what the parameters do, background info on reverberation as an acoustic phenomena, as well as useful tips on using the plugin.

All the best,

John
