From a quick glance it seems to be a stripped-down C-like scripting language. Probably easy enough to get into with experience in any language with a C-style syntax (C, C++, java, javascript, yadda yadda)
thanks, i had a quick search myself and found the doxygen docs here

http://www.nuedge.net/doxygen/PikaScript/annotated.html

the syntax looks fairly straightforward, just need some API docs for microtonic to see what you can do with the scripts.

I just wanted to say here (so I don't take support time away from anyone else by sending an email) that the service and support by Sonic Charge is awesome. I had some issues with multiple email addresses and they sorted it very quickly.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Never programmed in yadda yadda. Is it an object oriented language*? :hihi:
Does that mean it uses "pictures", or 'legalise', as in "objectives"?

You can't complain about this free update!
and the new bitspeek is also 32bit and they may have had that code for years already before releasing it. after all it is how they made the "please buy microtonic" voice in the original demo so many years ago. it's very simple and cheap. so I don't feel they wasted development time on it that "should" have been spent on porting 64bit! all my friends who do live laptop music use microtonic too because it is so reliable! multiouts to mixer channels.

But ok on these forums there is always a complainers they should get a girlfriend and relax

I applied for beta very late but was not choosed but I noticed it said that beta testing is not really for feature requests as they are already decided but for stability and bug testing only. So I wonder if any feature requests we make now will really be addressed any time soon. Such a pity! a great drum machine but no real way to input step values other than mouse or trackpad input is a let down for live stuff but microtnic is not alone like that

I think people are disappoint because the beta testers over hyped it on various forums my opinion

that is all must experiment more :D :D :)

If your using microtonic live I'm happy for you .. personally never! Studio only smash it and get it sounding nice ..thinking about it though I could imagine the psychadelic trance crew using it live

re the girlfriend past that stage and two little girls but thanks for looking out for me :)

I used to have Microtonic 2 for some years but never used it much as I did not like the fiddly controls.
Now with V3, the controls are cool.
I also like the morphing, that's a neat feature.

i am not complaining that Microtonic is 32 bit. i just get annoyed at people who try to make me sound as if i were stupid for enjoying 64 bit software. i like Microtonic, but it doesn't work as well as it could via bridging software such as jBridge. admittedly, i do encourage the creators of 32 bit software to make the move to x64, and i do that selfishly because i know that my system would run much more smoothly if i didn't need to use bridges. if anyone pays attention to the NI forums with regards to Kore, they would see that there are many users that are waiting with mouths dripping for a 64 bit version of Kore. all i did yesterday was express a wish that the Microtonic update would include a 64 bit version. i wasn't trying to start a fight or do anything where other posters would imply that i was stupid for this wish, or some sort of monster for even bringing it up

How can i send out a individual channel using the output "B"?
I can't click it. It worked with Microtonic 2. :-(

Why?
Because I'm a customer in 2011 who doesn't like having to use j bridge or rely on the bridge in cubase, you will find that instead of updating their existing range to 64bit some developers are keeping the ball rolling by bringing out new products and drumming :) up new business ala Bitspeak !!

You want to look at small companies who work with their customers needs Voxengo and Melda; I haven't installed Micro since I went 64bit, some might say well sell it then but I won't because I think its a great plug in and errr you can't anyway

glasgene: don't you just love how stupid we are for finding 64 bit important, and how smug and snarky people like teksonik act towards us for even mentioning that some of these 32 bit programs don't work well at all with jBridge. earlier in this thread (about 4 pages ago) i said that i have jBridge and it makes the functionality of Microtonic and Synplant lesser than what they should be. so what happens next? i am told by the next poster to just use jBridge. it seems that there will probably be a bunch of people on this forum that will still be using Windows XP 25 years from now because they will see no reason to ever switch, because only stupid gullible people like me are dumb enough to buy into the false propaganda regarding x64. and i just want to be clear that i am not talking about everybody that uses 32 bit, merely the few out there that openly attack people for it, in their smug and snarky fashion.

Hmmm seems like you are doing smug and snarky very well yourself. I don't care about 64 bit because I don't need it.........so I would rather small developers not use their precious time to make 64 bit versions of plugins that won't benefit one bit...........I'd rather they spend their time on upgrades....like this one.

and likewise people have their needs that they want meeting no harm either way as I see it..... from my point of view that update means nothing to me personally and seeing as this was the place to discuss it I did

I like to make a new rule that every discussion on KVR should start with a complaint about 64 bit code, even if the software is 64 bit. Personally, I can't get enough of hearing about it. I'm not sure why we talk about anything else, but if we have to let's make sure and get it in there somewhere. It is the most important thing in the world, as far as making music is concerned.
