

I've found that drivers removed from old NXT flat speakers work really well for both ends of the spring and, luckily, I can find these dirt cheap in the junk stores around Tokyo.

These things can sound quite odd, especially if driven hard.
For a more natural reverb, however, a proper tank works best - this one came from an old mic mixer/karaoke amp.
