Just got this app today for my iPhone.
It is one of the most enjoyable apps I have ever downloaded.
Of course I don't expect to leave my DAW for this, its just for fun and it is very well designed for iOS.
I wish they could add one more channel for SFX maybe.

Anybody still using this thing? I love it, and was wondering if there were any masters who knew cool tricks.
Anyway, I exported out to .aac and was really impressed with the sound quality of this thing..i mean it is not mixed in any way. If I knew how to attach files here I could post an example or 2.

I have been using it for some beats in a few pieces. The Audio copy is very welcome - I used Studio.HD in one piece and Garageband in the other to hold pasted Figure sounds along with a few other synths.

This StudioHD looks awesome. Maybe I should have gotten it instead of Mulittrack DAW. You can automate each track and effect?
Say I lay down a drum pattern, solo it and copy it out of figure and paste into StudioHD. Then I make the bassline or whatever in Figure, solo that and do the same.
Then I have a synth like Magellan I want to jam over that with. Is that possible yet? Basically to play a synth, record it in the synth app and hear the backing track playing in the background so I have a reference, or is that not yet possible?

Studio.HD is great for adding effects to audio and for mixing audio files together. Unfortunately, it doesn't do background audio - if it did, it would be almost perfect! No real send effects but still, its pretty good.
Garageband does do background audio now and I like using it as you describe - putting various audio files there, playing in the background while recording additional parts in other synths. The downside of Garageband is that you don't have many effects or any automation possibilities. This isn't a big deal if you apply the effects prior to pasting, but can be if you want to mix and master post copy.
As everything iPad, tradeoffs! I think I prefer Garageband overall for combining synths so far. The 8 track limit can be somewhat circumvented by bouncing/combining tracks together - sort of like the old days of Garageband on the Mac when the CPU forced you to bounce or lock tracks.
At least with the audio backgrounding, the iPad workflow is getting a bit more manageable.

Ok great. So I should probably just reinstall garage band and save myself the $$ for now.
Figure plus GB, plus a few good synths is a nice combo for me.
The thing I love about figure is I don't worry about the drums needing to be mixed and layered..etc. They come out of the program sounding very very balanced.

Hi There!
Can Someone Please tell me how can one find Figure's files on an iPad or via the iTunes? The only file shown at the Menu is a .txt named "drag your figure files here". I'd love to have the ability to organise all my Figure files on my computer. Can't even find any info about the file extension type...
