It's going to be hard not to because of the routing. That modular routing potential is something I've felt I've been missing for quite some time. For me it's for stinging up guitar amp simscabs/etc as a number one use, all the synth stuff is secondary, but it is powerful.bluedad wrote:If you still love it in two weeks, then i'm buying it.hibidy wrote:I just need to confirm before I start bitching about it

Sorry if this as been asked before, but if I load a couple of VSTs inside MUX, what about PDC? Is it auto or manual?

I dunno the technical answer, but in reaper it reports ZERO latency and I've been using it in maschine and reaper with results I'd expect from zero latencyxx JPRacer xx wrote:Sorry if this as been asked before, but if I load a couple of VSTs inside MUX, what about PDC? Is it auto or manual?

If it's reporting zero for a VST inside MuX that reports non-zero outside MuX, that would be what JPR's asking, I think. Then the follow-up question is also whether if you string together two non-zero VSTs in series or parallel, does it calculate it right.hibidy wrote:I dunno the technical answer, but in reaper it reports ZERO latency and I've been using it in maschine and reaper with results I'd expect from zero latencyxx JPRacer xx wrote:Sorry if this as been asked before, but if I load a couple of VSTs inside MUX, what about PDC? Track one: MrTramp2 -> Kjaerhus Master Limiter. Reaper says "580/640 spls"
Track two: MuX containing { Tramp2 -> Kjaerhus Master Limiter }. Reaper says "0/0 spls"
What that tells you, I don't know.

Thanks for the test. So MUX is not doing auto PDC then...

I'm so freaking happy
I figured out how to use piz's midiKeySplit inside MUX with midiScaleChanger to both transpose/rescale part of the keyboard in one key/scale and leave another part alone. Now I can use Strum Electric with whatever scale I want and still have the strum keys using the same track and keyboard. Maybe this is 1986 tech for some but it is huge for me, it was cumbersome in S1 to do this and I ended up using 2 keyboards, now it is just part of my default Srtum patch, and I have Guitar Rig on the same MUX so the setup is so easy now
MUX rocks.
I don't know the implications of the PDC thing, can someone explain?

Put a Kick (or a drum machine) into a track and record the output to another track.
Put the same kick in the MUX and do the same thing.
Compare the audio files.
It should be visible when zooming in at the beginning of the audio file. I think......
Am I off the wall...?

MUX does not yet do auto PDC. You can do it manually using the "Pure Delay" module. However the latency reported to the host will still be 0 as it's not yet a supported feature. I've taken note of this on the MUX wishlist.

In case anyone's interested, jBridge works with MUX in Reaper. I just bought jBridge and scanned all my 32 bit plugins and they seem to open and work in MUX. This is handy if you still have 32 bit FX that haven't been ported to 64 bit yet (and there are still quite a lot of them.) UAD and Powercore plugins seem to work as well, apart from the Poco synths that is.

Under what circumstances is it necessary to use this module, and how do you determine the settings and where it goes in the signal chain? So far I haven't notices any latency but then I dont have the best hearingmutools wrote:MUX does not yet do auto PDC. You can do it manually using the "Pure Delay" module.
