It's me or do all the Spire demos sound kinda thin and harsh at high frequences?

So far Spire sounds fantastic 
Is Spire 32 bit only on Mac? If so, when will we see the 64 bit version?

Edit: tried the AU as well in AULab, but couldn't get any sound out of it. That is to say, it made the demo noises, but it wouldn't respond to MIDI. (and yes, it works with other synths
