something new from NI

If it is a Reaktor synth, it would be nice if it were there to spur on an upgrade. Reaktor's still mighty capable (not of great analog modeling necessarily, but of original sounding synthesis), but it could use a design overhaul. A new set of GUI widgets would be tops - the latest commercial Reaktor synths to come out of NI have necessitated the much of the same scratch design as any AU/VST.

Not necessarily ... and in fact, probably not would be my guess. But it may have a lot of reactor code inside it. I'd be astonished if Kontakt and Reaktor didn't share a lot of the same code, but Kontakt clearly isn't a Reaktor based offering. If you're NI and have access to the source code, why add the overhead of the Reaktor interconnection wrappers?osiris wrote:Whatever it is it's gotta be in Reaktor because of the little connected modules at the start of the vid.
I hope it's on sale like Razor at the start. $49.00 was a bargain for that little monster.
If I have the story right, Razor was developed by a non-NI guy but NI liked it and opted to market it themselves. So that would explain why Razor is Reaktor-based. But if I was an NI developer, I'd probably be looking to leverage whatever code is in-house for a new instrument but build it from the ground up for better performance and possibly a faster implementation time to boot.

If it's FM9 then things are going to get dicey. Then since it's part of komplete, will I have a reasonable update price? But, if I buy the upgrade and komplete 9 comes out, then will I be able to sell my upgrade if I upgrade to komplete 9? Or will I need to upgrade to komplete 9 "this time it's KOMPLETE and we really mean until next time?"
?

that "M" is native instruments new "Master Edition".
way more easier to handle than any other audio software on the market.
unlimited one or two click routing options and the most wicked parameter modulation system on the planet.
it's aimed for professionals therefore expect the basic version at around 800€.
you can buy and extend the master edition with customized modules and it can however be an expensive platform but you will get what you pay for.
be prepared for awesomeness!

aimed at professionals? so you're saying it requires an iLok right? because all professional level software uses iLok.
i guess hans zimmer will have to stop using zebra since it isn't aimed at professional iLok users

What a rubbish name, it's getting bad out there for sure
Sub Phatty
King Korg (takes the cake)
Monarch (no doubt they diskussed Monark)
It will like be a fantastic Synth though, I've had great respect for NI ever since I did my bank for Massive.
