- It got me to use Reason a lot more.
I think it's a fantastic environment, though IMO REs were not a very good move since the ability to easily share projects has been lost. Maybe they should have outsourced module design and just integrate them in successive versions. - I discovered Com Truise, which I really like.

its not that reason sound doesn't sell its that making a sound that sells is f**king hard. sure you could use presets but if you want to make your own sounds well, you better start early in the morning cause its gonna take a while. i think a lot of reason users have bought and sold reason more then once. me bought and sold reason 3 times before switching to reason essentials. i think rack extensions are a horrible idea because the whole patch community, refill sharing thing has gone to hell. not many people buy refills anymore well, not like they used too. it would have been awesome if the props allowed people to transfer there re but they choose to maximize profits because if re's could be transferred propellerheads rack extensions profits would go down due to the second hand market. we cant have have that.

Nah, actually Karten has a point, in Reason 5 propellerhead added a function where you could self-contain projects that used samples from ReFills, including commercial third-party.
