In fact I spent 98% of my lifetime sitting in front of my laptop, thinking about cool things to write on KVR,then when the genius strikes me I look for any thread to post that new cool thing in.

The latest update for Excalibur has not really improved the flickering issue on my Retina monitors on Yosemite. When using the XXL GUI in Excalibur my whole DAW (LogicX) freezes, all meter displays stall, everything slows down until I close the plugin or change the GUI size back to regular. Pretty disturbing, keeps me away from Excalibur which is a shame really.

No, I didn't see any announcement about it and was too busy anyway.

I love this plug but it's killing me that the +12 semitone shift ends up being 20-50 cents out of tune depending on the initial pitch (according to ReaTune). I get that it's supposed to be a vintage style shifter and I can dig the grunge but not the messed up intonation :?

I immediately emailed support to ask if i could still get the intro price, and they didnt even have the heart to tell me no. They just said get on the mailing list and watch for future events.

Its too bad they werent willing to reach a few extra inches for another prospective customer.

Similarly I missed the Phoenixverb intro pricing I got on the mailing list and I waited for the next sale and then bought it.
I actually like and respect the developers that are straightforward with the timing of sales,it's not their fault if an individual missed intro pricing or a sale actually ends when they say it will.
I'd rather they have time to update, improve or develop new products and have their business grow than jump through hoops with the timing of sales.I actually get a bit annoyed when I buy during a sale with stated deadlines only to find the sale has been extended to get a few extra sales.
There will be other sales and promotions, be patient that's how I bought Phoenixverb,R2 and Excalibur. ;-)
2012 Mac Pro,3.46 Ghz,12 core 96g ,Mojave,RME, DP11.01, Logic 10.51,RME UCX, Great River ME-1NV, a few microphones,Spectrasonics, U-he Komplete12U & way too many VI's,Synths & FX galore!, UAD,Mimic Pro/SD3,Focal Twin 6 monitors, Shunyata ....

Have you tried the 1.0.4 release yet? This should make a difference in the flickering issue.

Yes, I tested it 2 days ago and it's much better now, occasionally it flickers but the stalling/freezing of the DAW (logicX) is gone which is even more important.

That's good. I'm glad it's helped. There are still a few things I'll be looking into. Apple changed something in the graphics support and has not actually described what they did. So it's taking some experimenting to see what's going on in there.

Yeah, your're not the only developer suffering from the Yosemite Open GL change...it's a drag.

The 1.05 release is completely broken for me - after a while it starts crackling and I get a 'Plugin is damaged - please reinstall' message. I have reinstalled twice already. This is on Yosemite.

I have a 2.0.0 beta2 from December which seems to work OK.
It is however advising me about an upgrade but when I click I get a page saying:
"AS YOU MAY KNOW, THE BAD GUYS HAVE CAUSED SOME TROUBLE IN THE ILOK WORLD IN THE LAST FEW DAYS AND IT'S BEST NOT TO GIVE THEM ADDITIONAL CODE TO STUDY."

I've not heard anything. What's going on?
