the installer sucks - doesn't choose location. does the center thingee do that. i'd rather not install it...

If you install command center you can change the install location in its options.

Actually, after further review, I don't give a rats how good it is, the RE is one thing, but cakes gawdy crazy installation is something else in vst land.

Oh well, glad I remember/was reminded before I did it

Ok, that's funny. You see, I didn't think that it was that bad. It's kind of like NI's service center. The only bad thing is that I only have one product from them so there's not much motivation to reinstall the thing later. I didn't see any other plugins that they have that I would want, I'm not into there synths at all.

Let me try pounding this through your thick skull one more time. The warning is not faulty. The software did it's job. Maybe if you took the time to learn the difference between a virus and ransomeware you might get some understanding but I doubt you're capable of absorbing such information.

Now f**king drop it. If I don't want to install this on my studio computer that's my choice. Mind your own f**king business. Am I making myself clear ?

ty GS, I am new to this so people please be patient with me, I too will make mistakes. I do obviously care a lot about KvR and it's members and all I want is to keep it the go to place for what we do

-went to website
-downloaded "command center" for Mac
-created an account on website
-received activation of account with 2 option available
-chose the one with paste here a code
-lauched command center click install
-says its activated
-closed Command center
-opennned logic
-New AU was verified by the plug manager

turns out it works just fine, no problems so far

though i don't know why they did this..is it just really so i'd subscribe to their mail list ?

Cakewalk installers have always been pretty bad but lately they have taken a deep dive to the bottom. No install options and they crap all over the system drive. Every time I fire up a Cakewalk installer I'm confronted with the question who the hell makes those. Do they really not have anyone competent enough to make a decent installer that let's you choose what and where to install instead of dumping crap all over the place without any indication where it ends up.

I beg to differ. They are going to read it and say, "oh look, we weren't on ghettosynth's radar because of some previous bad experiences, but, the quality of our offer got him to reconsider and re-engage. Get the marketing team's bonus ready, this is exactly what we wanted."
