I could have made the changes to it and made it work but I'm kinda at the point of just not wanting to work on it anymore. I tend work fast and try not to look back to much.

Dude, you hafta find another distortion plugin soon :)
Speaking of Camel Crusher and plugins of all kinds - I am confused as to why it's allowed in the first place.
I would assume that a distortion plugin like Camel Crusher would be disallowed for OSC, considering you can completely change the sound of the synth with it. Out of curiosity for next OSC, where exactly are we drawing the line?
Now I almost feel dumb for trying to use absolutely no sound-changing plugins.

You're allowed to use just a wee bit.

After struggling a bit with this one I finally coerced some sounds out. A little neurofunk b/c it's been that kind of month. Give a listen with some headphones for the bass...

74 Instances of OB-Xd
Standard DAW Stuff (Logic Pro X):
Channel EQ*

Loads of automation

*I also used the channel EQ as a notch filter and automated the notch freq a lot.

I am able to draw it in, but that is it. Am I missing something obvious? Tried a few other soft synths and they seem to be working fine...
No, it doesn't seem to send automation messages when knobs are pressed, confirmed on OSX + Bitwig.
Hm I was able to automate stuff in Bitwig/windows using 1.3.14. What I wasn't able to do was save FXP presets, only Bitwig presets.

Automation works fine, it's just recording/sending automation messages by turning the synth knobs doesn't, at least not for me.

These effects are also against the rules:
- Effects that pitch the sound (e.g. pitched / granular delays, tapestops etc.)

Absolutely. Man, I'm so glad to hear you had this sort of experience with it

And I dig the track! Especially the Hyde side of things :), sounds great, and the stark contrast between that and the cheerful parts gives a thematic depth to the happy-go-lucky moments as well.

Big up :phones:

What's allowed and what's not seems a bit of a minefield. Lot's of grey areas it appears... well at least to someone like me who is not very experienced in OSCs
For instance -

Valhalla Vintage Verb is payware isn't it?...well I certainly paid for it
...and I'm confused by the earlier posts about whether Camel Crusher is okay or not

Good luck to all of you and have a great contest.

It's quite unfortunate :(, and I would have definitely chimed in had I seen that sooner. Live and learn, I suppose. Carefully reading through the rules beforehand, fully and at least once, pays off in contexts like this, heh.

(Edit: In my opinion these aren't "grey area" effects, a pitch shifter pitches the sound and pitching effects are explicitly forbidden. A vibrato audio effect also manipulates the pitch and falls into that category. Again, it's unfortunate, but that's how it goes. If it was up to me, though, I wouldn't disqualify this entry, if the effects aren't doing anything that dramatic to the sound at least; it's such a bummer when that sort of thing happens regarding the rules, by accident and clearly unintended.)
