Don't like it at all, sorry. This is not a pipe!

What do people think about the controls down each side in the bottom half? Any other general feedback on how it's looking?
Looks great and share same familiar aesthetics as the Glue. So easy on the eyes. I look so much forward to not only use this one, but all future products from Cytomic. Hopefully we wont have to wait too long for modelled eq and mic preamp, considering Andys faster workflow. 8)

Can we have a non-skeumorphic variant that doesnt waste quite as much screen real estate? You could fit those controls into the top half of that space without much difficulty at all.
Yes, please do this.

All those controls could easily fit in 1/8th the space. Not everyone likes to have a large portion of their screen taken up by fake cables and chassis.

What I like is that all (well, both=)) Cytomic plugins so far released share this color scheme. So IMO it's great Cytomic for brand recognition. But adding a bit of green, maybe as a stipe behind "The Scream" logo, could be nice as well.

I like those knobs.

Personally I prefer knobs along the side rather than the current approach.

Not sure if you're aware, the entire gui is resizable, and these screenshots are done from a retina display mac. Here is a comparison when made smaller against the default gui in Live:

Also the space over the square silver "effect active" button will be used to display a mods panel.

By resizing the user is now forced to sacrifice control interface size for some useless graphics. If they want larger knobs then they sacrifice sceen real estate for those useless graphics. It is a lose/lose situation.

Please have a very simple non-skueomorphic option at the very least.

Personally, I like the current GUI, as well as the controls along the side for quickly changing other parameters. Even though I will ultimately judge it based on its sound and playing feel, all things being equal I will almost always gravitate towards plugins that both sound good AND look good. Yes, I am that shallow...

You can use your default controls in the DAW for a vector interface. Doing two interfaces for the same plugin doubles the work.

I'm not really liking the look of the vector controls down the side of the 3D version of the plugin. I've got an idea on how to get rid of them and keep the 3D looking clean and reasonable as a physical device, just like I do in The Glue and The Drop. I think it's the break in paradigm as much as anything that is the issue here.

Wont there be a bunch of exposed parameters coming from the mod section though? It seems that w/could make using the DAW's(if it has one, few do!) default UI even worse.

I just want less space wasted on non-functional gui elements. Thank you for listening and responding.

Well it already looks better than all other Tube Screamer emulations, and will probably sound better, too. So, mission accomplished.
