By sheer luck I downloaded the demo a couple days earlier and simply activated that (ie, no manager as yet).

The only sign of dementia in this thread came from the guy who confused Plugin Alliance for Plugin Boutique.Michael L wrote:I am! And English is my first language. You need the "plugin manager" to install it.

apparently it's only downloadable from the Installation Manager software.
Email them and tell them to release an installer. If you don't mind. It's kind of very stupid.
Hopefully a few people get on their case. I bought it too. but I'll wait for a dedicated installer.
call me old school, but i like to be in control of what's installed on my machine, I AM the installation manager.

I don't want their manager. If it's the way they're going I'll ask for a refund and sell all my PA plugins.jbraner wrote:You need the "plugin manager" to install it.

Why not, how is running the installation manager .exe, clicking the plugin you want to install, then pressing install any less convenient than loading your browser, going to their website, logging into your account, downloading the setup then running the setup?

It's less steps (especially if you have purchased or are updating multiple products) so aye I'd say so !

Because I'll already have their installers backed-up somewhere and if I need to install them I just have to double-click, no stupid manager needed and no internet required.mcbpete wrote:Why not, how is running the installation manager .exe, clicking the plugin you want to install, then pressing install any less convenient than loading your browser, going to their website, logging into your account, downloading the setup then running the setup?

Not liking the installation method seems like a really minor reason to get rid of plugins you've already bought.

MmmmThank you for contacting support and I am happy to help you.
There were some complications with traditional installers that made them not valid to launch with Native Kontrol Standard support. Therefore installers for these plugins are only available VIA the Installation Manager.
Best,

Any idea why a great dev such as Unfiltered Audio with so many great & solid plugins would team up with Plugin Alliance and be stuck with their plugin manager & policies? Why don't they take the independent route and manage their own things themselves? I don't understand, and PA probably even take a good slice of the cake, money wise

I remember when Unfiltered Audio was independent and it was much better that way. If I remember correctly it was even possible to choose between an installer version or just a .zip file with the .dll to extract in the VST folder. MUCH BETTER! The thing I hate most is now updates take A LOT of time because of PA. before updates were more frequent.
BUT, PA have good customer support and are quick to respond.
