Yesterday I read that Imposcar2 hasn't been updated in 6 years, seems to be abandonware

I contemplated buying a Model-T Ford but I fear it has been abandoned.

Unless you are a collector of oldtimers, why would you buy a Model T? It would not even be allowed to drive on today's roads, I suppose.

Also, software is a very different world than hardware.

Hmmmm interesting question. Being greater than 30 years old it would be exempt from congestion tax and MOT. That said, finding tyres may be an issue.

M-Tron got a V3 release this year, so here's hoping this sale is partly a way to fund/gauge interest for updates of the other synths, rather than milking the last bit of demand. Oddity and ImpOSCar both have some interesting character, and it would be nice to see them developed further.

ImpOSCar2 works and works well over a variety of ever changing Windows systems and updates. I have never had an issue with it. This is truly a great example of "if it ain't broke". Moving forward, just like with M-Tron I am sure we could see things like resizable GUI and similar things, but no real leap. GForce makes great products that work.

Their non-sample based products (the ones on sale) do need a facelift.
