Can someone clarify how do the pattern section work? We listen the varius pattern, when we find the one we like we must drag it into a midi track of the DAW selecting the right chord; every time in the song there's a chord change then do I have to repeat the procedure even if I use the same pattern?

I just had a quick look and it seems that the pattern is fixed. So basically you find a groove/timing that suits and drag that into your daw. From there you'd have to adjust midi notes for every chord change or even individual notes that might be in the wrong mode. The interface showing genre, key, etc is just a browser to narrow down the list of options based on the song you are writing. Personally, I find that part pretty useless.

Thanks! If so I agree with you that pattern section feels pretty useless. Not a big add over 1.5 version.

Isn't it easier if all the info on a product are in the same thread? After all what I asked for was one of the new function of MODO BASS 2

I think that's how the forum officials prefer it.

- Resolved an issue where MODO BASS 2 would stop producing sound.
- General reliability improvements.
Had a long session today where the same bassline was playing for
about 12 hours straight and I had this damn issue again. Had to reload the project. (In Reaper)

I get this all the time - I only have to reload MODO Bass, not the whole project. Next time, try just reloading MODO - it's easier.
In fact - I set up my plugins menu (in Reaper) so I can quickly get to MODO Bass to reload it.
I tried to create a script to do it - but I can'tget that to work ;)

Sorry for the late reply but wouldn't you lose all the settings you tweaked of MODO Bass if you reloaded it? That's why I reload the entire project. I can't recreate the problem right now for testing but what happens if you duplicate the same track and then delete the original track will it have sound again?

Post

Well, I just save the MODO settings as a "temp" preset - set as default in Reaper.
This way it loads up with the right settings.

4 years later and IK is still treating its customers like Call of duty players. This kinda dark pattern makes the product feel like bargain bin stuff. Hey IK, when does battlepass come out?

MODO BASS 2 has been updated to 2.0.5.

Unfortunately it does not add custom tuning, so you still can’t tune a 6-string model to E-A-D-G-B-E, for standard Fender VI tuning, or up a 4th or 5th for a baritone guitar tuning.

Being able to tune up an octave as well would be nice.

MODO BASS 2 - Ver. 2.0.5 - Release Notes

Changes from version 2.0.4:
- Fixed an issue where triggering very high notes on 5- or 6-string basses could occasionally cause low notes to play instead
- General reliability improvements
It`s not a bug... it`s a feature!
