I’m not interested in upgrading komplete until Kontakt has a resizable UI. It’s crazy trying to use thousands of pounds of sample library via a postage stamp interface.

Even though Kontakt would be resizable, it wouldn't affect the libraries themselves, until the developer of the library updates it. So we will probably see the same "slowness" from the developers as we see from the VST plugin developers, especially when it comes to already released libraries.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Fri Aug 12, 2022 8:44 am I’m not interested in upgrading komplete until Kontakt has a resizable UI. Could just include a 200% pixel doubling option, won’t look great but at least gives those of us without 20:20 vision a better chance to use it.starflakeprj wrote: Fri Aug 12, 2022 10:17 amEven though Kontakt would be resizable, it wouldn't affect the libraries themselves, until the developer of the library updates it. People would complain that it looks ridiculous.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Fri Aug 12, 2022 12:05 pmCould just include a 200% pixel doubling option, won’t look great but at least gives those of us without 20:20 vision a better chance to use it.starflakeprj wrote: Fri Aug 12, 2022 10:17 amEven though Kontakt would be resizable, it wouldn't affect the libraries themselves, until the developer of the library updates it. but it already is ridiculous - Hard to believe NI hasn't made it resizable yet. Talk about being WAY behind.chk071 wrote: Fri Aug 12, 2022 12:55 pmPeople would complain that it looks ridiculous.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Fri Aug 12, 2022 12:05 pmCould just include a 200% pixel doubling option, won’t look great but at least gives those of us without 20:20 vision a better chance to use it.starflakeprj wrote: Fri Aug 12, 2022 10:17 amEven though Kontakt would be resizable, it wouldn't affect the libraries themselves, until the developer of the library updates it. Based on the recent aggressive sales on KOMPLETE Classics Collection bundle (Massive, FM8, Absynth 5) on Plugin Boutique, I am getting a feeling that we may see upgrades to Massive, FM8 and Absynth 5 (and hopefully Battery too) in Komplete 14. If they do want to support them and add VST3 format, it makes sense to add GUI scalability and other updates along with. This will entice people to upgrade to at least the standard version of Komplete. Let's see.

It's way more complex than with your average Joe plugin.ATS wrote: Sat Aug 13, 2022 8:35 ambut it already is ridiculous - Hard to believe NI hasn't made it resizable yet. I noticed that too. Hopefully the transition to a flatter design mean resizeable UIs are on the way. That'd be amazing for kontakt, but as developers libraries use bitmaps I dont know how that'd work.wohkeret wrote: Sat Aug 13, 2022 9:25 am Anyone noticed that redesigned interface of VC 160 shown on PA web page?

Yes, that "transition to flatter design", can't wait. Damn those pesky affordances. Who needs to know what is and isn't clickable until AFTER you've moused over it anyway?m-ac wrote: Sat Aug 13, 2022 12:07 pmI noticed that too. Flat design is bad design. You can resize Sylenth1 (for example) to any size you like - I have a 4K screen and can make it as big as the screen, and it's perfectly sharp every time, no matter what size I use. We don't need 'flat design', thank you. If I wanted to use a crap interface, I'd go back to DOS on a 640 a 480 four colour screen.
