That wasn't an issue at all for me as I have a fairly beefy setup with an AMD 5900X CPU and 32Gb of ram. I think in the end It was maybe using around 50% of my cpu so still had some headroom if I had had more time to experiment and expand things more.MilksterX wrote: Sat Oct 15, 2022 10:48 amI started with one instance - the majority of drums and bass & fx were in once instance and then when I came to add chords my cpu gave up a little!BrainBeatMusic wrote: Thu Oct 13, 2022 5:34 am Done voting. I was expecting a lot more experimental electronic tracks making use of 1 instance.
You can actually see my whole patch in my album art so too which I don't think is super complex.

Waaaaaugh!!!
I congratulate Treeheated and Double Tap on the first and second place, as well as bh9090 and Silverpants on actually a friendly third place with me!
In fact, I expected to see ZioMau in 1-3 place... Your track is still the best this month for me!
I also congratulate everyone who was able to open the door of the Cardinal's Bottomless Dungeon, enter there and come back unharmed and with the cherished track in their hands!

Congrats to all the (other) winners and thanks for the votes everyone. Treeheated is a worthy winner and well done to Silverpants for a first podium! And it’s great to see IV and Bh up there too.
It was the steepest learning curve I’ve had since first starting OSCs a couple of years ago but by the end I was starting to see why people like modular so much.

Congratulations to the winners.
I guess I came about where I expected but would have liked to be a bit higher all the same.
Looking at the scores it would seem the majority didn't like single instance tracks as all of us were very much down the bottom. That said the spread in scores seems a lot closer than the last few at least as the bottom got well over half the winner's score.
May I make a suggestion if we do a modular synth again can we please have a week or 2 more to do it as there is a bit learning curve you have to get over before you can start to make anything decent compared to normal synths? Maybe tell us the synth on the equivalent to today after the voting has finished and the winners have been announced? I easily spent twice as long as usual and barely finished what I made in time.

Thanks all! My first win! I'm so pleased that you liked my entry. Congrats to the other winners, and thanks to RichardSemper and bjporter for running the show.
I am sorry that I didn't manage to take part in the track commenting this time around.

Good choice, and another thank you to Richard and Brian for doing all the hard work to keep the show on the road. Could I get The Unfinished soundsets for my prize?
