Well, it's been out for a few months, and it's currently $115 on Plugin Boutique! I don't know if you can upgrade.dune_rave wrote: Sun Jan 29, 2023 8:53 pm Hi! Any news on Blue3? I haven't decided yet to upgrade from Albino to Blue3 ...

Hi, I got Blue 3 part of explorer 8 bundle and I am ... disappointed.
I like none of Rob Papen UIs but usually do love their sound and presets. I am a huge fan of Predator, Predator 3, Go 2, they sound really great and with a lot of presets.
This is not the case for Blue 3... while the UI is as mediocre as usual by 2023 standard, the sound is .... meh. It sounds like aged or without impact. Do you have the same experience? Or am I missing something?

Well, it's different for me. I now use Blue3 more than any other synthesizer I own. In the beginning, one or the other error from Blue3 bothered me, then my own errors and problems with understanding bothered me. But after studying the manual - Blue3 is by no means "intuitive" with all features - I enjoy the countless possibilities. The live streams on youtube that Rob Papen offers every Thursday at 8 p.m. (European time) also helped me.
Sorry for my bad English...

So what do you think it is well suited for? Pads, leads?

I don't see any restrictions at the moment. In the beginning I took arpeggio sounds and refined them, currently I'm experimenting a lot with choirs and with presets, to which I add an oscillator with "flute". The results are always great - and we continue shooting the next day.

Thanks, i will try to explore this way... Usually I find Rob papen synths to be non "no sense" efficient value for money synths.HannesHagebuch wrote: Wed Feb 22, 2023 6:48 pm

I don't see any information yet, but it will surely come soon.
My personal impressions: I had a problem with Blue3 and Cubase, when exiting Cubase there were frequent crashes - that seems to have been solved. The graphics in the "ENV" section are animated. Cubase's remote control editor still doesn't work with Blue3.

Rob explains the updates to Blue 3 1.0.1 starting at about the 7:31 mark of this week's video:
