It is really good. It's a shame that there seems to be some people who demand the synth be something it isn't, which I think is missing the point. It does what it does really well and is a lot of fun! Not $200 fun, but when on discount, why the hell not?

Ahh..but that's the point...it IS a 200 dollar synth. Expected a tad extra for that kind of money. @99 it is more than fine

It is the first time in ages I've spent multiple hours just creating patches, both from scratch and by tweaking some of the factory patches. I think it helps that there's a standalone version because I can just fire it up when I've got a spare 10 minutes and see what I can get out of it. Standalone softsynths are highly under-rated, I reckon. But yeah, it was never a $200 VSTi, that price is just taking the piss.
That's really good to hear, thank you. 8) I love getting into that deeply focused flow, to the exclusion of all else... been 'ages' for me to (re: w/soft-synths) and precisely why I prefer 'standalone' synths as well. I definitely agree they are underrated. :tu:

I've used this to facilitate that, since forever:

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil
