This is not the News-thread, it's the BLA and esoteric assumptions-thread.

No I didn't take it personally it's just we have nothing but speculation and BLA at this point until actual facts are revealed. If that bothers anyone then their only option is to move on.........

I'm not just concerned about their software but the well being of the CA team as well so "holding a vigil" until some news is released is a pretty natural reaction....... :)

Teksonik: right on.
I didn't buy Alchemy thinking v.2 is just around the corner - I'll wait a little more. Seems like I'm screwed now...

It does now.....that being the salient point.

What ? :nutter: The fact that someone loves Alchemy and is concerned they may lose it at some point is a "sense of entitlement" ? Whatever.

There are some people who don't know what the word entitlement means.

Come down to Irvington High School in Irvington, NJ and I'll show them entitlement.

Have patience. I just can't believe Ben would allow Alchemy to die or let someone else kill it off. But anything is possible at this point until we get solid facts. I just have to believe that Alchemy or Alchemy 2 will be available for purchase somewhere at some point by someone.

I hope so, I'm afraid that it's gonna be Mac only. All signs point to Apple buyout. Compele silence is their style.

At least I backupped now al the files, including the installation manual found online. No matter what comes I'm prepared if I need another new computer installation.

I said it a few squillion posts back in this thread but Ben et al are alive and kicking, so you can put your mind at rest.

I agree. To be plunged into uncertainty about your future is a terrible thing. And probably be watching this thread and unable to explain, vent feelings etc can only make it worse. But you never know. With the skills and experience they've acquired over the years I'm sure they'll all be ok in the long run. Nonetheless the demise of CA must be a bitter pill.
Would you like some cheese with that WHINE?

"Alive and kicking" is only one form of "well being"..........it's what the future holds that is concerning.

But why do so many here believe the CA team all died in a plain crash, it's definitely far more profane than that.

Where did anybody say they died in a plane crash ? Obviously there would be a ton of news about something like that................

It's obviously some legal issue as that's the only condition I can think of that would cause complete silence. Unless the whole CA team said F*ck You to everyone and stomped off in anger and there's no way I'd believe that would happen......

So we simply wait for some real news from the source.....hence the "vigil". So we either gather around, light some candles and wait for news or we move on and put the story behind us...

I think they were all at the annual "Camel Audio Picnic" and while taking a staff picture they accidentally all stepped on this huge spring loaded platform, and were all catapulted into outer space. Their surviving relatives don't know how to run a VST software company because they never watched them in action so they never learned how. Reluctantly they all decided that it would be best to cease sales. The end.
