They must be doing a soft launch before updating web pages and making formal announcements. The Slate stuff except FG-X is now native.boojiboy wrote: Mon Apr 25, 2022 9:18 pm I couldn't find any that said they were AS native. didn't go through them all but enough to get bored. I used your link and then clicked on various Slate and Eiosis individual plug's info pages.

It is in the release notes for each plugin. Anyone can download the Slate install app and verify this for themselves. And I did. I even installed the one plugin without release notes, FG-X, so I could check the binary. That is why I know it is the only one not native.boojiboy wrote: Mon Apr 25, 2022 9:18 pm I couldn't find any that said they were AS native. didn't go through them all but enough to get bored. Hey Music Maker!
We're thrilled to let you know that your wait is over—Slate Digital plugins are officially M1 native compatible! You told us being M1 native was important to you, and we listened.

Anyone happen to know why so many of the audio music installation hubs like Plug-In Alliance’s installation manager, Waves Central, and iZotope’s Product Portal haven’t been updated with native Apple Silicon support yet? I find it odd that at least with Waves & PA that almost all their stuff is native except for the apps you use to actually install them…
I mean even Native Instruments’ Native Access 2 is native and we all know how terrible they’ve been with updating their stuff for Apple Silicon.

it's mostly fine really for me so far. catalina/big sur/monterey were bigger hiccups for some devs. though weirdly, monterey did bring back some things that were broken in big sur. lols. so it goes.
whatever.. in time it'll all get there except things already discontinued/unsupported.

FG-X isn’t native and from the look of their new blog post it never will be.teilo wrote: Tue Apr 26, 2022 3:15 amYes. Updated earlier today. But what about FG-X?cadiz wrote: Tue Apr 26, 2022 2:53 am Hey Music Maker!

It would be nice if more devs could make clear that a specific product is abandonware. Some are good about this. Others are just hoping nobody notices, so they can make a few more bucks. The M1 updates are flushing a lot of these out. Like the Exponential Audio reverbs, for example.soundslikeash wrote: Tue Apr 26, 2022 1:08 pmFG-X isn’t native and from the look of their new blog post it never will be.teilo wrote: Tue Apr 26, 2022 3:15 amYes. yeah.. izotope is being a bit vague with the whole "not planned" designation then saying "it doesn't mean we've abandoned them". maybe they haven't decided yet but it'd be really surprising if they updated any of the exponential audio plug ins for apple silicon native.teilo wrote: Tue Apr 26, 2022 4:23 pm

Considering I've been in the Komplete bandwagon since v2, I'm not. They were last in line for every change in Mac, from OS 9 to X, PPC to X86 etc. It is what it is with these bigger outfits that buy off developers for multiple plug ins with various graphics frameworks.
Arturia updated their GUI's a year or two before M1, which made them nimble with the change, NI have been using the same frameworks for over 15 years according to people who should know.
