I went to demo the new version but it says my trial expired already. Did we get another 14 days with the new release?

Ok, checked out sidechaining here in Cubase 4.5.2 with the usual quadro-group workaround. Now the needle is moving and I can hear the sidechain doing its duty, but I hear both the compressed track and the key-in signal at the output.
On closing Cubase crashes.
