thank you. had the same problem, but after reading your post I was able to get it running as well.Ceej wrote: FYI, it's a little persnickety. It didn't work at first even though I installed it as instructed. It took me a few minutes to find the asData/asseca.log file to debug the problem (it couldn't find the SampleTank .dll file, even though it was in the same directory as the sampletank25gui .dll file). Then a couple more minutes to find the asData/inifiles/SampleTank2.5_GUI.ini file, where I was able to modify the path so it loaded up. But, now it works great!

It turns out that I already have all of the prosoloist instruments (which is the bulk of this pack), so I don't need to prioritize it. The only instrument I don't have from your list is the abacaba organ, and I think I could get something very similar with one of the 50 (or more) parent instrument organs in my ST collection (The 2XL, Sonik Synth, Tron, Omnisynth, Vintage and Rare Instrument organs really add up to a lot of good organs). Chances are, that I actually have this abacaba organ, as well, but with a different name.
In your sample I think the prosoloist song whistle carries most of the weight in the layering with the organ.
Anyways, I am now putting a few other things ahead of SampleArp Solo on my priority list. Thanks again for taking the time to identify those instruments Al!

The patch is actually spelled "Abacba Organ", try searching for that. Guess they didn't want Genesis suing for copyright infringement or something.zedd wrote:Chances are, that I actually have this abacaba organ, as well, but with a different name.

Ceej... you are my hero!Ceej wrote:The patch is actually spelled "Abacba Organ", try searching for that. Guess they didn't want Genesis suing for copyright infringement or something.
It turns out that I *do* have that organ, and when I found it in the subfolders of synths from the Rare and Vintage GB of 2008, that I had mentioned, I was able to find all of the other SampleArp Solo instruments as well. So now I know for sure that I already attained that pack's contents. I guess I should try using it sometime!
I really appreciate your providing this clarification... and also for sticking up for me yesterday!

Hey guys, I put together a quick jam using Downtempo Electronica, World Instruments, and Bass Collection 2. I'm playing a G&L guitar through Amplitube3 for the guitar parts. There are some issues with the mix (I know) but hopefully this will give you another example of how these sound in context:

Lots o' good stuff here. With some of these, I found myself wishing the resolution and quality were higher. I noticed this particularly with the World Instruments. There are some really beautiful instruments here but sampled with a bit too much air IMO. However, these samples layer VERY well
It's still an AMAZING deal to get turned on to all of these great sounds

Nice track! It's fun to layer world music stuff with guitar. What kind of G&L is that? I am still looking for a way to import/convert wav samples in ST2.5 and limit the note to the specified note name (ie. C3) rather than stretching the wav to the next note and beyond. The loops from IK and SR leave blank spaces above and below the loops. Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks in advance for any info as I am a loop newbie

But tell me- was that drum/timbale loop at the beginning from the World Instruments pack? If so, it was a little to out of sync for my liking. Everything else was quite good.

So any esoudz freebie reviews yet. I have yet to get my freebie but will be looking for the RAW packs most likely. How are they (especially the ones that aren't part of any of the ST packs)?

The drum loop is from Downtempo Electronica. It is a bit out of sync but somehow, I like it that way. Ha!JavaJ wrote:That was fun.
