And Celemony
Reaper has recently made some ARA updates that lead me to think an M1 update to Melodyne is right around the corner.
Ceremony replied on Sunday in a youtube comment that the update would come in couple of days (which should have been Tuesday). I am guessing that the release should be imminent but who knows…
Still no news from Sonible who said it would be this week at the latest.

I just got this response from Sonible a moment ago.

“ the native M1 versions of our plugins are already available.

Best,
Oliver”

I just don't freaking get it. No update notices. No specifications updated. No change logs. Even the listed "Latest Version" is wrong.

Why? :bang:

And to make matters worse, only half of their plugins are native: smart:EQ 3, smart:limit, smart:reverb, and smart:comp.

So does this mean the frei:raum, ProximityEQ+, EntropyEQ+, and smart:EQ live are abandonware?

I could rant about this intransparency all day. What shitty software company provides no change logs and no automated mechanism of informing users of new versions? (Too many of them, is the unfortunate answer)

I imagine they may be rolling that out soon. I emailed them this morning because I saw that they would be native by the end of the week and got a quick reply. So I thought that was cool.

I do hope the non smart plugins will be updated too.

Do you guys think Native Instruments Maschine/Komplete or Reason M1 Native will be behind an update paywall?
that’s going to sting, if so… Already had to swallow an unintended Ableton upgrade, but that was one of my few must-have native apps.

You are not going to see NI Komplete do an en-masse update. I.e., you are not going to see, say Komplete 14 be all-in native. It will be one-off updates for individual apps, a process that has already started with Kontakt, and I doubt everything will get updated. They are struggling enough as it is just getting VST3 updates out.

Reason is a different matter. But no one here has a crystal ball, so any answer you get is just speculation.

yeah, you’re probably right. It’s a pretty huge undertaking for NI. I’d be thrilled if they only updated their heavy hitters at first, eg. Reaktor/Massive X — plugins that could most benefit from M1 efficiency.

oeksound soothe2 and spiff have both just been updated for M1 native!

The claim from Reason Studios is that Reason will get the M1 update this year, from a March announcement:
Native M1 support
Native M1 support is still planned for 2022 but for now pushed forward in time. Getting the right quality for Reason 12 took more time than expected and we need to prioritize the delivery of VST3. And as you know Reason works well with Rosetta on M1 Mac computers.

wavesfactory is getting there:
Trackspacer and Quantum are natively compatible with M1. The rest of the plugins will be updated in the short term.
