I love the fundamental style, the teal on grey somehow gives the knobs a fantastic cel-shaded look. I'd like to see the different groups of controls distinguished from each other a bit more distinctly though - at the moment it looks like a load of controls floating in space to me, with only the grey lines slicing them up. It could be my monitor though, it's a bit off-colour these days.Branis wrote:This is probably a bad timing due to all the bad mouthing going on, but what the heck.
Is there a coder that likes this GUI and would like to implement it?
All controls are on one page (all are included), there's even one extra control for changing the background colour (I hope that's possible).

the gamma of his color selection for the background grey is just too low. he uses a grey background and black regions similar to the regions in gsoto's design. (with smoothed corners)
i'll probably adjust the gamma of his color selections a little bit when we release it. for now here is a gamma-adjusted version of his mockup: http://xhip.cjb.net/temp/public/xhipguimi6gamma.png

Part of being a professional means trying everything else out there. (It's AD who's stated here several times that he doesn't use anyone else's products.)Kriminal wrote:you lowered yourself from your professional position to even try them?AdmiralQuality wrote: I feel the same way about your toys.
That's how we form opinions. If I hadn't tried them, I wouldn't have an opinon about them. (Though I'd still have one about you!

Watching these pre-ban posts by AQ is becoming an amusing past time here at KVR. I mean, does anyone except for AQ himself here actually WANT him in this thread, or think he has ANY reason to be here? When will he realize that he has dug his own grave? I tried his synth, and didn't like it. Tried XHip, didn't like it(yet, but getting better). I could care less about the facts of his post. But it's just ANNOYING to see a thread ruined time and time again by somebody who has a PERSONAL vendetta against a dev who is releasing a FREE synth. Sour grapes, if you ask me.
Can't AQ just let bitterness go and just GO AWAY? It's so distracting and is in EVERY SINGLE WAY the works of a troll. Where in the world did it start being the case where a freeware dev has ANY responsibility towards the users? AD can do as he pleases, and there is nothing wrong with it. But apparently AQ believes in the ridiculous idea that this particular freeware dev somehow owes people something in his "product".
Let's remember that this didn't start with this last spurt of blabberings by AQ. It started with him criticizing AD way back. This isn't the case of him getting involved because of "lies". He got involved and started his idiotic grudge before AD ever addressed him.
Please AQ, go away, at least from this thread.

I don't know, there are several synths that use the same type of "knobs" as U-he stuff.Kriminal wrote:looks a bit too much like u-he stuff, not that thats bad, but you need a sep identity for diff companies/productsdjsubject wrote:Branis

More lies. It started with AD lying about my products. Way back, yes. I post on topic. Then reply to YOU guys. Sorry if you don't like my replies. Too bad you're not the particular L'il Hitler who's in charge around here or your opinion might matter.

it's one thing if someone's adding a little humor to their comments but AQ doesn't, he just sounds like a little baby trying to garner support by dissing other people and constantly trying to prove that he's right. i say someone's got issues and it's wasting server space on here.vurt wrote:if hes getting to brent then he really must be bad
